Here's your chance to jump on board with the Transformers comics! Humble Bundle is offering the ENTIRE run of the More Than Meets The Eye Transformers series (volumes 1-6 and issues 34-37), and you pay what you want for them! This set normally retails for over $155, but you select the amount you want to pay for them and a portion of those proceeds go to the Hasbro Children's Fund. That's right, pay what you want and you get the full MTMTE run!
The title formally known as Robots In Disguise is also available if you pay at a certain level above the average contribution. If you haven't started reading the best Transformers comics yet, what are you waiting for? Here's your chance! |

Tip of the hat to TFW2005 boards member nemisispringer for linking us to brand new Combiner Wars promotional art featuring Optimus Maximus. This piece of art is newsworthy because it gives us our first look at Sunstreaker and Mirage, repaints of Breakdown and Dragstrip! Both Sunstreaker and Mirage are featured as the arms in this Optimus Maximus combination.
Combiner Wars has been immensialy popular among the fanbase so far. Are these characters on your radar for purchase as well? Hit the discussion link below to share your thoughts! |

Online retailers Toywiz and Amazon have posted some new official Hasbro images including in-package images of the Legion class Fixit and Underbite figures. Both of these characters were previously offered in the One-Step Changers series, so these are good alternatives to those releases. Check out the images attached to this story.

E-Hobby have added a listing to their website for a Transformers Cloud omnibus comic. The comic, according to the listing, is a collection of stories that were originally published on the web - so it sounds as though it is a collection of the various Cloud story chapters.
According to the listing the omnibus is 24 pages long, and will be offered as a bonus with the purchase of the Transformers Cloud toys from 24 March 2015. Those who preordered Hellwarp will also be getting a complimentary copy on his release. |

Transformers: Robots In Disguise Mobile Game also receives an update.
On the new update, more weapon pickups are added as well as new unlock codes from the TV Show. "From the TV Show"? Yep, we are as confused as you are. It seems as though we'll be able to unlock certain items by scanning unlock codes from the show itself. You can also unlock Legion Fixit and Underbite. Robots in Disguise, the latest Transformers cartoon, has begun airing worldwide with it's premiere taking place in the US next week. The show has just premiered in the UK, where this fan is based, so it is my pleasure to share with you a few thoughts on the show ahead of its US release. My full thoughts will be after the break, but the too long; did not read version is: this is a good show. I was entertained for the whole hour-long (with commercials) runtime and found myself laughing at a fair number of the jokes. The show has a much-needed lighter tone, it has a different direction to previous shows, but at its heart, it is very much a Transformers show.
Read on for a full breakdown of my quick thoughts on the pilot. There may be some light spoilers. |

Third party Keith's Fantasy Club (or KFC) have announced via their Weibo that they will be redecoing their third party Blaster, Transistor, in a Twincast themed redeco. Twincast was the resurrected form of Blaster after he was slain in the 1987 Japanese series the Headmasters. KFC is calling this released Doubledeck.
Along with the Doubledeck figure, KFC have announced a pair of cassettes. One of them, named Mandy, is based on Rosanna, the most popular character to come out of the Japanese series Kiss Players. The other, named Stinger, is the release of the scorpion cassette KFC teased at TFcon 2014, and is based on a design that was intended for Transformers the Movie in 1986 but never came to be. Check out some images of the three attached to this post. |

Third party group Play With This Too have revealed a new addition to their lineup. Speaking with the Cybercast podcast, PWTT's Rik Alvarez showed off the concept of Wastelander, a planned redeco of the group's figure inspired by Pretender Grimlock in colors seemingly inspired by Beast Wars Dinobot. According to Rik, this will be one of the stretch goal figures from the group's Kickstarter.
Play With This Too is a group made up of former Hasbro staff, who are currently kickstarting their own line of action figures based loosely around the Pretenders and other classic 80s franchises like Inhumanoids and Centurions. Find out more here. |

TFW2005 member Rookbartley attended the Children's Museum of Indianapolis Transformers Exhibition, and has shared with us some images of the exhibit. The Age of Extinction Optimus Prime truck greets guests at the front of the museum, and there is a display of 160 Transformers toys, including a Lucky Draw Energon Optimus Prime, Japanese exclusive pieces like Victory Saber, and even a previously unseen prototype of a Voyager class Starscream from an aborted line that never made it far off the drawing board in 2011. The wide selection of toys on show come from the collections of Pete Sinclair, Tony Preto and Karl Hartman.
Check out the images attached to this post. They are not an exhaustive showcase of the exhibit, so if you're in the neighborhood, be sure to drop by when the exhibition opens to the public. |

Via Cleon of Ozformers, we can share some good news in the form of a Yahoo Japan auction with in package images of Masterpiece MP-23 Exhaust.
Why is this good news? Well, given the deco of the toy is based on the Marlboro cigarettes deco of the Lancia Stratos, Philip Morris has issued Cease & Desist notices to US online retailers who would have carried the figure. There have been further reports of UK based retailers not carrying the figure either due to direct pressure or because Hasbro Asia would not export to them - all then coupled with reports that even some specialty stores in Hong Kong would not carry the figure. Naturally with these reports running rampant through the fandom, rumors and assumptions of a total cancellation from Takara-Tomy were being spoken of. However, this auction on Yahoo Japan - showing the toy's box - suggests that the worst case scenario is not coming to pass, and Exhaust, the Destron Industrial Espionage agent, will see his release after all. He just might end up being a little hard for fans to get their hands on. |

We're back with another gallery of the Robots in Disguise Warrior class figures, belatedly finishing up our photos of wave 1! Here for your enjoyment is Grimlock!
Grimlock is a Dinobot, so he transforms into a tyrannosaur, just like the original Grimlock. The transformation is pretty neatly executed though the dino arms just sort of hang off the back. The way the design is done gives Grimlock some size and presence. In the show, he's a bruiser who thinks with his fists, and the toy gives him an appropriately bulky robot mode. That said, Grimlock lacks an accessory for some reason, and his articulation is a little restricted. We then come on to the two biggest flaws on this figure. The lesser of the two is that this Grimlock is actually quite a small toy. I'm not normally a stickler for scale, but to have the character who is "the big guy" on the show come out smaller than Bumblebee or Strongarm is a little jarring. Second are the elbow joints. They use a weird pseudo-ratchet with a little plastic block pushing against teeth in the arm. The plastic on the forearms is thin, though, and if the block gets caught the wrong way on the teeth, it will tear right through the forearms. It's a really bad design choice, one I've personally experienced as you're actually looking at my second Grimlock in this gallery - my first broke within about a week of opening him. Owing to all the flaws, I have a hard time recommending this one. It's a pity because it is a decent looking design, and would otherwise be okay, were it not just for those elbows. Check out the gallery to see this toy and decide if the looks make up for the noted flaws. Robots in Disguise Warrior Grimlock |

Here's a little something different for our "gotta have it all" fans. As we all know, Transformers are popping up in tons of different form factors. Action figures are the primary thing for most of us, but there is some cool, and sometimes weird, stuff out there. The folks at Funko and Mindstyle combined to create a line of Hikari vinyl pieces, which are inspired by old school Sofubi Japanese vinyl figures. They a minimal in articulation, feature cartoonish proportions, and in this Hikari line, have high end hand painted details.
G1 Optimus Prime and Bumblebee (along with Skeletor and some others) are featured in the line, and have gotten multiple repaints already. We got our hands on the Entertainment Earth excluisve "Battle Ready" versions and have done up a quick photo shoot to show them off. Read on to check out over 40 pics of them in "action"! If you dig them, you can pick them up here! |
