Many thanks to TFW2005 member Deceptigtar for linking us to some new listings for Kre-O figures on eBay. This is the second wave of the Battle Changers, featuring our favorite Autobot Jeep, Hound, and the nefarious Decepticon mad scientist, Shockwave. Like the previous first wave, these figures don't have to be disassembled to transform.

Treat this with all the usual caution that comes from questions asked of customer service representatives, but we're getting reports that the Transformers Kre-O line may not be continuing in the US.
Christian Flores of the "For Kreon Out Loud!!" group on Facebook asked the question of Hasbro's customer services, and got the following response: Regrettably, our Spring line of Kre-O Transformers are not scheduled for release in the United States. They will only be available in Canada at this time. The two important things there are that this only extends to the Spring line of releases - so future ones may come out - and also, the qualification "at this time", which does not rule out the possibility that plans may change. However, for the moment, it looks like Kre-O is headed for a time out in the US. This writing has been on the wall for a while, with more recent releases being slow to appear in retail, if they've shown at all. |

This is pretty cool, if you've been looking for a way to own and easily stream all of Transformers Generation 1, then Vimeo has a deal that may be of interest. Forum member Knaranek pointed us to this deal where you can get the entire series for $40. You get all 98 episodes in streaming and downloadable formats for that price. The only thing missing is the 1986 movie.
Check it out Here. |

Our next gallery from the Combiner Wars is Decepticon Viper! Viper is a redecoed version of Powerglide with a new head. Intended as an army builder, he is something very cool - a crossover with G.I. Joe, with the plane being based on the Cobra Rattler and the robot mode's new head taking inspiration from the Rattler pilot Wild Weasel, which is also what the Z06 on the wing refers to. To top it all off, the robot chest and the other wing feature a modified Cobra logo, based on the Cobra / Decepticons logo from the Devil's Due G.I. Joe / Transformers crossover series.
Viper's deco is excellently done, and the new head sets him apart from Powerglide. Like Powerglide, he has a simple but effective transformation that leaves him with side-to-side head movement, but as with Powerglide, he's got no biceps swivels. Viper transforms into a weapon to be wielded by other, larger, Transformers - a call-out on the packaging places him as the sidearm of Cyclonus' gestalt form, Galvatronus, but any Transformer with a 5mm peg socket can wield him. Like Powerglide, Viper has no accessories, so for some of these photos I gave him the gun that came with the Generations Legends Optimus Prime. Overall, Viper is a cool little redeco. He looks fantastic and the G.I. Joe crossover is an extra bonus. Well worth checking out when he hits stores - until then, live vicariously through our gallery! Combiner Wars Viper Gallery |

On Transformers: Robots In Disguise animated series, we did not get a good look at Decepticon Filch in her Robot Mode. We only saw a silhouette.
Couple days ago, thanks to Tiny Titan in hand images we did get a good look at her robot mode. But today, Hasbro has posted her best look so far. "There’s a new Decepticon preying on Crown City, and it’s up to Team Bumblebee to put an end to her pickpocketing. Watch the newest episode of Robots in Disguise this Saturday at 6:30 AM EST on Cartoon Network." Check it out, after the jump. |

Botcon news has been the rave as of late, and we have a very interesting bit of news to share with you: Karl Hartman stopped by and shared some news that he and his brother Jon are set to sell "the second half" of their collection at Botcon 2015. Why is this significant? Karl and Jon Hartman are two of the original founders of the Botcon convention itself. Also, their collection is quite extensive, including some very coveted pieces. The first half of their collection sale came at Botcon 2006, where they even sold Peter Cullen a sealed G1 Optimus Prime figure as a gift for his granddaughter!
Karl Hartman had this to say regarding their upcoming sale: "Hi folks. This reporting News Staff member still hears discussions of their legendary sale from 2006, and this second installment could be something equally as exciting! Many thanks to Karl for stopping by our forums to give us a head's up here! We here at TFW2005.COM wish the Hartmans all of the very best with their collection sale, and we hope that all who attend Botcon 2015 have a great time! |

We've seen a few in-hand pics already, but we have our best look yet at the final production version. Courtesy of Tagoal, who took a great detailed set of images of the highly anticipated figure. Thundercracker, who is a retooled and repainted version of the fantastic Leader Class Jetfire, will include arm cannons and detachable wing guns.

Yesterday, we reported on the BotCon 2015 brochure going online. However, there was a very important piece of information contained within that may have been missed by some readers.
This morning, TFW2005 boards veteran Shin-Gouki brought to our attention the following quote from within the brochure: "Exhibitor’s product content must be at least 50% Transformers related. This means robots, action figures, comics, sci-fi or related products. General toys or dolls are not allowed. Exhibitors must collect the 8% Illinois sales tax or current rate in effect at the time of the show. Exhibitors must file and pay using the forms provided at the show one week after the conclusion of the event. Please do not bring products that violate Hasbro owned intellectual property" This is further backed up by two other relevant quotes from TFW2005 boards member Autobot City Comics 2008, who had attended JoeCon 2015 this year, where a vendor he was working was was told to take his 3rd party Transformers items down: "Yes they are they did it to the vendor I was working with at Joecon he had a little 3rd party transformers and was told by Pete to take it down. We asked if it was going to be In forced at Botcon and he said yes but not as 3rd party but as IP infringement" Furthermore, Fun Publications employee Pete Sinclair supplied some other pertinent quotes further clarifying the situation recently on The Allspark: "I lobbied for the term '3rd party' to be dropped. It's a meaningless term. Main thing that we will not permit are items that infringe on Hasbro's IP. If an exhibitor is unsure if something infringes on the IP, most likely it infringes on the IP. So. Don't bring it." "It will be strictly enforced." "I'm not sure what else you want me to say? IP infringing items will not be permitted to be sold. They are not allowed at the show and there will be someone on hand to monitor this." Yes indeed folks, it seems that unofficial items will be barred from BotCon 2015 this year. What are your thoughts on this revelation? Sound off after the break! UPDATE: Pete@Botcon has clarified that "Vendors are free to contact us ahead of time with questions." If you are a dealer and are unsure if the items you are bringing will be allowed, then please check ahead of time to see if your items are allowed. |

This is a pretty cool preview. Here's a few pics from the comic included with Transformers Cloud Hellwarp. We got to see in-hand Hellwarp pics just over a month ago, and now we can stare at a few cool art pieces from the comic he comes with. In the comic, they have Generations Jhiaxus (though it's noted he is not available in Japan) and Cloud Megatron in shrouds reminiscent of Dark of the Moon Megatron.
Google translate wasn't too helpful with the post text, so if you want to do a better job translating, feel free and I'll share it with the readers of TFW2005 here. The pics come courtesy of Mangod. Read on to check them out. |

Via Lost-Zzl on Weibo, we have a look at a previously unseen redeco of the Transformers Generations Roadbuster toy. Sporting a green deco with brown camo and white weapons, this deco is something of an oddity - however, there is a Generation 2 style "Autobots" tampograph on the back of the vehicle / robot mode leg, which suggests this is more than a mere custom. Additionally, the user also has in-hand images of other, known upcoming releases from the TCC, so it stands to reason this too is a leak from the collectors club, or more likely, the convention.
Our money is that this is one of the Botcon 2015 at-show souvenir figures. The deco and the use of the Generation 2 Autobots logo - plus the placement of the white in robot mode - is a match for the unreleased Generation 2 toy, General Optimus Prime - which would make sense, given that there is a Megatron in the 2015 convention boxed set. Check out the images after the break. |

Thanks to TFW2005 boards member CZ Hazard, we have a glimpse inside the canceled line of iGear figures dubbed Mini Warriors. CZ Hazard was nice enough to share via his blog The Accursed Love Of Possessing the design renders of 12 canceled figures plus the bios for each character that he worked on.
Also of note, it looks like iGear may be taking a break from the unofficial world of transforming robots. Although not confirmed directly through iGear, CZ Hazard passed along the information that the company is reevaluating things, but never say never for a possible return. Check out the entirety of the cancelled line after the break! |
