Just now, our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store posted an update to their Facebook detailing how the Combiner Wars Quickslinger and Brake-Neck will be made available. The update gives the pricing - $17.99 each - along with stating there will be a one-per-customer limit. Most important is that there is a solid release window for these going online to order, which is 12:01 am on May 22nd. If you miss that, don't worry - BBTS will be posting a second wave at 10am EST on May 22nd.
It stands to reason that other online stores who are also getting these - such as TFSource, and Captured Prey - will be putting theirs up for order at around the same time. |

The official Transformers Facebook page has officially revealed the San Diego Comic Con 2015 exclusive Titan class Devastator. The SDCC Titan Devastator stands 18 inches tall and is stated to feature vac metalized elements on the deco, it seems that this will be on the chest wing and Mixmaster's drum, amongst other places.
It has also been observed that this version of Devastator features a different head sculpt to the retail release version, sporting eyes instead of the visor shown on the retail version. Check out the image and discuss after the break! Update - individual robot mode pic released and added to the story! |

BotCon has announced its final guest for the 2015 lineup: Kojin Ono! Read on for more details and get ready for registration, which should be going live next week barring any issues.
KOJIN ONO is a designer for Takara-Tomy and was the key creative force behind the introduction of Car Robots in Japan, the converting robots that would be at the core of the 1984 launch of a "new" toy line known as "The Transformers". The robot known as "Sunstreaker" was the first of his designs, but would hardly be the last. Hound, Bluestreak, Sideswipe, Trailbraker, The Dinobots, The Constructicons… All of these amazing design were brought to diecast metal life by Kojinsan, who it should be mentioned, was part of the initial class of Transformers Hall of Fame inductees back in 2010 along with Peter Cullen, Bob Budiansky, and Takara's lead designer on Transformers, Hideaki Yoke. It is truly an honor to welcome this legendary designer to his first ever BotCon! Hit the discussion link to share your thoughts on BotCon's final guest. |

Via Snakas' blog we have learned that Kabaya has a candy kit version of Generation 1 Piranacon in the works!
Known as King Poseidon in Japan and featured as an antagonist in the 1988 series Chojin Masterforce, Piranacon was one of the coolest combiners of the Generation 1 era. He had six members based on sea creatures, the five smaller members of whom could make up limbs for the gestalt with the one left over becoming a gun. This candy toy version, revealed in a banner ad on Syokugan Ohkoku looks to faithfully recreate that original, with the added feature of the smaller guns linking up into one huge rifle. According to Snakas, this one is due to arrive in July. |

Thanks to TF Yuki we get our first in package look of Unite Warriors Superion! Surprisingly, the gift set also features some great box art on the front of the package instead of the usual window. Through that window, the Aerialbots can be seen packaged in jet mode. Unite Warriors Superion is due out late June.

Hot off the back of the reveal of the Takara-Tomy release of Defensor for Japan, Hisashi Yuki has tweeted a teaser of a Unite Warriors version of Ultra Prime. The silhouette in the teaser has the distinctive head design of Ultra Prime, and we can also make out some parts of the Stunticons in the silhouette, which matches up to the rumored lineup of the "Masquerade" Autobots - Prowl (Dead End, right arm), Mirage (Dragstrip, right leg), Sunstreaker (Breakdown, left leg, based on the foot component), and Ironhide (Offroad, left arm).
No word on how this one is getting a release in Japan, but we'd bet on this being a mass retail release - for those crying, why is this not an exclusive, remember, Japan loves their hero characters, and things in Transformers do not get much more heroic than Optimus Prime! |

Artist Jose Lopez has shared some the concept work for Robots in Disguise Grimlock on Instagram. The work consists of some models for how Grimlock looks in the series in both his modes. Be sure to check out the one showing the robot mode for a look at Grimlock's battlemask - a full faceplate with visor that gives Grimlock a full-on Generation 1 look. Perhaps this alternate head will see use on the upcoming Generation 1 themed redeco of the toy, too?

We are back with the final round of Toys from the Transformers: Robots In Disguise Mobile Game App Update. This time we've unlocked the "Special Editions" toys. These toys are either Repaints or Remolds of already existing figures from the toyline. We've updated the last weekend's post regarding the Clash Of The Transformers figures with COTF Legion Class Underbite as well (so sorry we missed that).
We've also made some observations regarding several game characters which were not assigned to particular toy size classes. Optimus Prime Ultra Magnus repaint contains kibble of a Legion Class RID Optimus Prime toy (comparing with the current Legion Optimus Prime toy and the upcoming Clash Of The Transformers Legion Class Optimus Prime) indicating that it may very well be a legion class toy. Sadly however, the Pumpkin Optimus Prime and the Desert Optimus Prime are repaints of the Starter Optimus Prime, which is the Animated Series Model in the game; indicating that we may not see both of them on shelves. Their absence from the Collections Page further confirms the matter. Same fate is shared by Cybertron Underbite who is also a repaint of the show model instead of an actual toy. On to a more happy note, Stomp N' Chomp RID Grimlock is indeed listed on the Collections Page and is a remold of the Transformers: Age Of Extinction Stomp N' Chomp Grimlock judging by the identical kibble. Check out the images, after the jump. |
