Alright I needed to make this since this is in my top favorite toons to watch right next to Avenger's, and yes I know I can post this on the TFW sister site but eh
The show has been great each episode and heck they even cut out a few less human interaction in the last few episodes... |

It actually has been pretty good lately. And is anyone else routing for Starscream? I want one of his plans to actually succeed, just once!

This is the most heartbreakingly bland series, for me.
The animation is subpar, the writing is, for the most part unimaginative (The writers have no idea how to write for giant robots), and the character designs are just... boring. I personally would have rather seen an adaptation of IDW's Infiltration, or something completely new, over this. That said, I love Arcee (And I love her relationship with Jack. It's one of the better human/TF relationships in the franchise), and Starscream is genuinely good for once. He's a pretty top rate villain, and is actually both sinister and funny at the same time. Soundwave is also cool for once. Soundwave has never been a favorite of mine... always bland and boring. This time he's kind of scary. I love that he doesn't speak. Ratchet jumps back and forth between funny, and getting on my nerves. Bulkhead, the series would be better off without him. This ruined the character to me. Bumblebee is pathetic. And Optimus is the worst version of the character in the franchise. All he does is make long boring speeches, regurgitate the same tired lines we've been hearing for almost 30 years now, or is all "OMG HE'Z TOTAL BADAZZ GUYS!!!! WE'RE GOOD WRITERS!" Megatron actually looks kinda scary at times, until he opens his mouth and talks. Then be becomes a bobblehead, because the animators can't have him say simple lines without his head bouncing around all over the place. Airrachnid, I'm just glad they didn't throw away the good name of Blackarachnia on this. Can't stand this character. The entire first season for me was a waist. Crisscross being the only episode worth the trouble of watching. The second season has been an even bigger let down. I've only followed it this season because it's on directly before Being Human, and there was nothing else on. Now Being Human has completed it's season, and I don't even have a reason to watch TV on saturday nights. I'll be glad when Hasbro designs to abandon this new continuity, and move on. Maybe they can get Greg Weisman to be the story editor for the next continuity! Now *he* can write!

What, you wouldn't want to see Greg Weisman being given the reigns to transformers? The dude has been behind some of the best, and most praised shows on tv! Gargoyles, Spectacular Spiderman, Young Justice, amongst others.

Love the show. Still trying to catch up on season 2 (I let my DVR build up a backlog so I could marathon the episodes).
@CrazyJetty: I have no idea what you mean by saying Megs is a bobblehead when he speaks. I just don't see it. As for worst Prime in franchise history, I would give that dubious honor to Movie Optimus. He's a homicidal maniac with no remorse and no mercy. He actually prefers violence as the first option, unlike just about every other version of Optimus before and after him. But hey, we all have our own opinions. To each his own. For writing, I would love for Hasbro to get back Marty Isenberg for a new show. Obviously, they aren't about to pull the current production crew from TFP since it's doing so well right now. But I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at the idea of Weisman coming on-board for a project (TFP or something else).

I've been loving the show so far. This version of Megs is my favorite of all Megs. If only I could alter his voice to Corey Burton from TF Animated. His voice was perfect Megatron.

@treble
Well yeah, that Optimus is certainly a bad representation, I'll give you that. But I rank Prime's Optimus lower than him because he's just a very watered down version of movie prime. Just a very genericized version. While I dislike both movie and Prime visual styles, movie version is more interesting from a design standpoint. And dispite being a remorseless killer, his personality isn't as dull (not by much, though. He still makes long winded speeches and regurgitates the same tired lines). He also has some really epic action scenes. Prime Optimus, not so much (Though there hasn't been much action that really stands out in this series, for anyone) So I rank Prime Optimus as a watered down, dumbled down version of Movie Optimus. If he had some real defining element, he'd immidiately leap up above him, though. And to show I'm really not trying to be biased, while I do *not* like Prime Megatron, he's definately far from the worst. I like him better than G1 Megs (The only time he was shown as intimidating as he's ment to be was in IDW's setting, pre All Hail Megatron)

I thought it was an interesting twist to have the ship become a sentient being just by giving it dark energon. Kinda odd though, i mean what's next, it's going to transform into something?
Another thing I noticed too with the past ep was if Screamer had a bunch of clones, why didn't he just take their t-cog for himself? Seems odd..... |

But if he didn't I agree. That doesn't seem like him. Hell, I'm surprised he hasn't ambushed a vehicon trooper yet to steal one of theirs.

I know. That what I would think too, except for what you said, plus the fact that Ratchet was going to donate his to 'Bee, as well as the other autobots willing to also.

Does Season 2 get any better? I really didn't find season 1 entertaining at all nor memorable.

The season premier was spectacular, I thought. After that, it's dropped to being the same, if not a little worse than Season 1. (This season had... A CLIP SHOW! And we get to see what an abandoned NYC would look like, since that's where they're going next ep, and no one lives on planet earth). But, I would say if you thought season one dragged and was boring, Season Two's not really an improvement.

If you're not liking it now, you probably won't like it any more, but who knows, I say keep watching it to see. |
