Found this set today at Toys R Us, $59.99. They had a CRAP LOAD of them on the shelf. Haven't had a chance yet to open them, but they look cool. A little pricey, especially since they don't come with accessories like the single figures do, but I guess that's why they're charging about $15 per figure. Oh well, I'm a sucker for Ghostbusters.

Awesome!
Hopefully BBTS will get this in as I doubt we'll see it here in the UK. |

I like these, I think they're cool and all, but not for 60+ bucks. They're not even in GB1 uniforms.

Ugh, at $50 I would've considered them, not at $60 though.

Found them at my TRU over the weekend. It's definately a great looking set but the price just killed any thought of me getting it, ah well.

I do agree that it hould have been more like $50, but considering each individual figure normally goes for $20 on matty, this isn't so bad. It's like you get one figure free. I'm going to go look for these ASAP. I missed out on the original figures on Matty, and while I'd prefer GB1 costumes, I don't like how some were slimed, some were not, some had marshmallow on them... I'd rather they look all uniform. This'll do.

I can't argue with the price issue a lot of people are bringing up here. $60 is a little steep. But, if you have the money and are a Ghostbusters fan then this is a must-buy. |

Good points, but remember, the single figures direct from Mattycollector at least have accessories (some better than others) so I could see this set being a little cheaper. But I couldn't agree with you more about the slimed/non-slimed. We will eventually get all non-slimed figures, but it's nice to have the complete set here all the same.

I guess I do have to agree that, comparing them to the pricing of the individual figures plus shipping, that this is definitely worth it. However in it's context I can't seem to justify plopping down 60+ at once for some new figures.

The single carded figures each come with an accessory, such as (in the best instance) a ghost or (in the worst instance) a stack of books. The Walter Peck figure came with the containment unit, which is totally awesome. This set does come with Slimer, which is at least one good accessory.
All in all, I'm happy with the set. I totally understand why some people wouldn't want to drop the money on it, but I'm ballin' . I ain't no Da_Last_2_Walk, but I can spend some money on toys. For real though, I guess it just comes down to how much you like Ghostbusters, and how much you can budget on toys. It is hard to spend $60 in one shot, especially with all the really great stuff coming out lately. |
