I've often wondered what the appeal of these statues is, but that's a very appealing statue.

In terms of secondary motivation, one can buy based on the “appeal” you mentioned here, or simply based on Artistic merit (great sculpting and paint work etc). Only issue is that if one starts buying based in artistic merit, that can get out of control really fast in terms of which figures to buy. There are just way too many well done statues these days with the new technology available. They are pumping them out really fast and at the high price point they have for them, it’s hard to keep up. |

On this Starfire, I just wish they used a similar design for the Titans show. As it is now, I hate the design in the show.

Not to turn it into a action figure vs statues debate (cause it's really apples and oranges) but a 1/6 statue with detailed paint apps and sculpt is almost always going to seem far more impressive than a well made 6 inch action figure. So I think the appeal is pretty apparent.

A great display piece for sure...this one looks pretty good especially the way the outfit looks.

This being said, I've to say I find the price acceptable. I'm glad we're seeing more and more in my opinion more affordable statues. I can only applaud this! |
