again i disagree with you.
you say you help but a majority of your posts are wants lists and customs through dealing with me can YOU say you have gone above and beyond to help me out?pilkster!and if you believe so please explain, and ill retort in kind. would you say you have done more for the 3.75 and the 6" community than me?just bear in mind im not mutually exclusive to toyark,or perhaps you already know that.if you want to continue this in PM im more than happy to. My mailbox here, mucc and facebook has messages everyday regarding 3.75 figures in some way our another. Im sure if I asked every person Ive dealt with on here 98% of them would tell you I have either helped them out or sent some sort of extra along with their trade or bought items or even sent them something for free out of my own pocket. Ive picked somethings up that they havnt even asked for because I've thought it would look great in their collection. Ive done art work for people for free. Yet again other member of thoa community have done the same for me! I never once said Im better or do more than you or anyone else. I commented because you labelled the 3.75in community as crap in comparison to the 6in collectors. My comments where to show you the 3.75in collectors are close knit and do help each other out all the time. Hell!, Ive had nothing but trouble over these Kang Chairs. I could have just gotten my own but didn't. I could have charged and made profit but didn't yet still went out my way to help 17 people get something that was desired. Ive even done a trade to get the file increased for the 6 inch collectors but again the cost of materials for that size is high. But I still did it and still offered out to both communities. I dont see the point in bashing anyone or any community weare all in the same boat of collecting toys Last edited by Pilkster; 06-01-2017 at 12:35 AM.. |

I can vouch 100% for pilk, he has helped me get hold of quite a few tricky items, I try and help in return. If I spot something I think people may be interested in I give a heads up. Most other people I have asked for help have been pretty good to me, I don't have any experience over on the 6" side of things, so I don't know how different it is there.

If I need anything figure or fodder wise I can text him what I need 20-30 figures at a time, it doeant matter who or what they are, later that day he will have a pic of what I need and I have them by the weekend. I can list loads of people that go out there way. Kernal Kdubs The creator Superret Apocalyose Jedirulz DJJD OfficalHegarty Universe Sithlord1963 UKMU only as of late lol I can go on (no particular order and first that popped into my head as of late) But I can go on and on. Every one isnt going to give up something they want in their collection just to help someone out but if they have double or extras then like me, if I have no use for it then its availble to anyone. Again if someone is struggling with something and I see it somewhere then I just grab it or add it to the trade or list of what Im buying and contact that guy who wanted it. Im not a mind reader, I dont know what everyone needs but if and when I find out. Then what you need or want goes on my list and I either try sorce it or put you in contact with who has one. And people do the same. Last edited by Pilkster; 06-01-2017 at 01:07 AM.. |

it isnt an attack more so me being painfully blunt.
first off let me get one thing straight, and ive already pointed it out that this community has INVALUABLE members who go above and beyond, one or 2 names are on your "list" now again ill ask you, have you gone above and beyond for me,personally? and yes you know what i need for my ideas, and yes you were in a position to help, but did you??? you make out you do so much in here and i just dont see it at all and i dont see it on the MMM group on FB,all i see is you expanding on your needs mostly.as for being friendly towards me?ive asked you several questions in the past that went unanswered.you will probably BS me with an "i didnt see your posts" reply because your inbox is just exploding with all the pms you recieve. now you big upped ukmu twice now, so ill put this out there, wheres that free hand ninja that you promised to send me 2 years ago UKMU? and is that the same one you recently PMed me to trade off for a white doom? Go ahead rally your troops, bear witness to the formation of "pilksters amazing friends"mate this line has already suffered enough because of nepotism.perhaps if the community was LESS close knit and MORE open then maybe we wouldnt be having this back and forth. |

Current seen here.... Decorating the whole house in order to accommodate mama UKMU. Pulled the floor up for better handi-accessability. Busy standing and prepping for paint. Came downstairs to get busy.... And see this. He has an entire seen going. I simply stopped, sat down and am having a go with him. Rhis is why I collect.

I'm no UK collector, but I want to throw my 2 cents in on this and hope to calm some waters or create more waves, never know how people will read/react to post on the interwebs.
JB - I think you are taking out your frustrations with the current state of the line, by defending your POV, and blaming the consumers. Valid argument, but I doubt the members of TA are the ones to blame. Though you may not be too far off, I'm not going to pay $13 a figure, when every figure released since the rebranding has at one point been put on clearance for $5 or less. Also I have been in your boat where something new comes out you want it and can't find/get it, but everyone wants double the retail price for it since it is in demand. It sucks when a community is so geared towards striking when the iron is hot instead of helping others out, but I get supply and demand too. I feel like you are pulling at strings trying to get someone to justify their contributions to the community by how they have contributed to you specifically. Pilk - I see JB's point on the way you solicit for your wants and advertise your latest customs. Which are top notch BTW, but your pricing isn't cheap and nor is the work you are doing, but $50 a pop is a tough pill to swallow regardless of the quality. Also when you were starting out I was happy to give you all kinds of help even posted a tutorial to help with casting and then you turned around and wanted 5 to 10 times more for the work you were doing than I was charging at the same time and we addressed it via PMs and it is all good, but I bring this up so you can have a better understanding where JB is coming from. I have not traded with JB in the years that I have been active on here, but that doesn't mean I won't or wouldn't, but I also don't consider my contributions to the community is solely based on what I was willing to trade and who got the better deal. One of the greatest compliments I ever received was when I posted a video of the original diorama a couple years after I had "finished" it and someone new to the boards said: "OMG that is your video? That video is the reason I started collecting 3.75 figures" |

I also want to point out when Kylactus did that amazing contest and gave away some really in demand figures still new MOC. We all were much more active and I remember logging in daily to check the thread and see if anyone new had entered and where the votes were.
That was so much fun and really brought us together, miss the heydays is all I'm getting at... Edit* I'm still salty JB changed his avatar pic from Gentlemen Broncos Last edited by K Dubious; 06-01-2017 at 09:15 AM.. |

I wrote a huge reply to your points KDUBs but in the end its just going to spiral out of hand again and to be honest I dont come here to piss about and argue. I value and appreciate your opinions and thank you for the contribution.
Im not going to comment on the matter any further, I will just stick to solicitating my customs and wants lists 😁 and continue to help out the "select few of Pilksters Amazing Friends".. |

Ok, been a long day at work so only just getting round to this and most of the last two pages have been a difficult read.
JB,from a personal perspective, I can understand your frustration and I really like K dubs post but this probably doesn't do much to resolve the 'debate' (for want of a better word). Yes, the MU line has gone downhill for a while now (increased prices and reduced articulation for starters) but I think it is a stretch to blame consumers - this is not a UK consumer problem as Guys across the Pond, Europe and elsewhere that I have dealt with and respect have been bemoaning the decline for years. Yes, I am very grateful for what we've received in the line, but when Hasbro cannot even do basic things right (anyone got a complete set of Hasbro FF or Jim Lee X-Men Teams for example? Thought not!!!!) then that lies at the door of Hasbro and those in charge of the 3.75" line. To illustrate a point if I may, fans of MCU figures have, luckily and pleasantly surprisingly, seen the GOTG Vol 2, Dr Strange and Homecoming 2 packs being made available in one way or another this year and, with the exception of the Astral Strange and the omission of Yondu's arrow, these appear to have been well received. How do Hasbro follow that up? By releasing a TRU GOTG Box Set comprising, in the main, figures which have been released before (Rocket, Drax and Quill at least twice IIRC, although Quill does have a repainted Steve Rogers head)which failed to sell as single releases. So when these again fail to sell and quickly go to clearance in the US, is this the fault of Consumers? I know my view. Only been a member here a couple of years so have no previous knowledge of cliques and nepotism and don't want to know TBH. What I do know is that there are many people who grew up with 3.75" lines (Star Wars, GI Joe etc.) and have a genuine love and affinity for the scale. Final personal thought - I was a member on Rebelscum for over 10 years and still retain a login but came here to get away from the petty sniping/back-biting and general spite that poisoned many of the Forums (Lord Marvel is a stand up guy but ask him about the grief he got for posting new figs and Customs no-one else had in the 3.75" Marvel Universe Thread). In short, appreciate what we have, support each other as a Community however we need to, and let's not descend into a morass of pettiness! |

Well then, I vote JB the 3.75" representative for next year's SDCC.
If you can debate and shout like you type, we all have a Skurge this time next year, and announcements of completing every team they have started since '09 with 23 points of articulation for £8 each with accessories and weapons available at every petrol station. Go get 'em mate!!! I joke, but we DO some representation there. I wonder of we can source out someone going and give them a list of questions.....
