Jimmyo, you said on another thread - somewhere *else* - that you pre-ordered from BBTS - don't you get stung for duty on those orders?

Yep, Sometimes things get through though. Even if I take into account the taxes shipping and cost of the items it still works out less than buying them at £30 per 3 pack so £90 for all three, (or £75 after tax and shipping on import)

You should only pay tax on the items, any duty levied on shipping should be reclaimed or you refuse to pay it

Liverpool Disney Store has the Quinjet at £16 and the Helicarrier at £34. If I hadn't just spent £149 in the Lego store, I may have been tempted.

Great Haul there JB, I really like that Moon Knight figure his little accessories are cool
My Baghead shipped from Star today and my Prof and Blastaar's arrived from them a few days ago, we are so happy to have new MU lol. Just knowing baghead is finally on his way and at retail cost is fantastic as I was getting twitchy as I had one on order at FP since June.

Haha we had a great Xmas, Yeah solid Vision is bugging me.
He really is the only figure I dont have now. I could get one easily but I just don't see the value in him when the variant is a nicer figure and we already have that one. If you don't have the tranparent one grab that as it should settle you down for now lol

I've opened a big old pile of loot from BBTS and spent quite a lot of time over Xmas doing a few custom bits and bobs that I've been wanting to do for ages. All good!

What revised MU should I be on the lookout for? Anything nice in that P.O.L? Don't the customs charges make BBTS a bitch? |

Yep, they most certainly are a bitch! I really can't justify it financially in any way, shipping's expensive and customs charges are a certainty. The only thing I can say is it's very very convenient - being able to pre-order things for free and having a pile of loot.

Thanks for the BBTS info guys. Something tells me it still works out cheaper getting the packs individually on eBay.

I need another Sentinel, one just doesn't seem right. But those figs are so fucking expensive over here! Especially when people are finding them for... $16 in the US! Insane! |

Whilst I like the idea of getting it all in one big pile, I couldn't accept those charges. *Something about the Tory Government and allowances that might be construed as political was left out here*
Could you keep me posted, Jackieboy? There are a few older ones I'd like to get my hands on. X-men specifically. I find Ebay the best bet, personally. Sellers like Kokomo Toys tend to not overprice the shipping either. |
