I hit Derby TRU a couple of days back. More to kill a few minutes while waiting for Maccy D to switch over to their Lunch menu than out of any hope of finding anything. They had a couple of pegs of MU but still stuck on the Bucky wave. No surprise really.
Tesco stores in Long Eaton and Toton have not had any new MU since the Cable wave and I didnt see any in either. What did make me laugh out load was seeing TONS of unsold Thor 3.75 at the eye watering price of £10.99 each..........and Cap at £11.99 !!! What planet are they living on ? |

I've just had an unusual sighting - Cap and Iron Man Quad Bike toys in Avengers packaging. The space next to them, for the 3.75" figures, was empty however. Wilko's in Liverpool.

Just picked up Steve Rogers Super Soldier in FP. Was tempted to get the MU Winter Soldier too but resisted.

I imagine the situation is pretty similar in most TRUs?

Again, you guys should try to ask Arkers to help you out. I'm sure there are at least a few US guys that would be willing to help you out but you'll have to cover the crazy shipping.

Just a hypothetical question, but what do you UK chaps think of a Facebook group/Fan page for UK MU collectors? Just to make things easier in terms of discussion and networking, reconnaissance and hunting etc?
Not that I want to take people away from here (this place is great for info and discussions with people across the pond, not just about MU either), but since there is a distinct lack of UK Marvel toy sites I thought that it might be a good way to get more UK enthusiasts together to help each other out etc, as we have quite a hard time finding these toys. Obviously it wouldn't be exclusive to Uk people, just focused. As I say, it's hypothetical as I don't know how much time I'd personally be able to dedicate to administration of the page and stuff, and I have no idea how to build a website and I don't really want to rent a forum. If it doesn't seem worth it then it doesn't matter |

Shipping a figure carded around the UK is only like £3 so paying that + UK costs is sometimes cheaper than getting a good deal from an American Arker but getting screwed with shipping to here. By spotting what we have seen on our daily travels, it helps us to get the best deal possible. Also, I'd be up for a facebook group to recruit as many UK'ers as possible, it should help with sightings and such Last edited by MGTAJ; 02-17-2012 at 08:57 AM.. |

Popped into Asda's Bexleyheath, South East. They had Iron Man, Captain America and Thor movie figures for £5 each, including Movie Whiplash, Red Skull, Sif, Odin, Destroyer and Frost Giants.
Picked up Sif and a Frost Giant |
