They still had Shadowland DD, Thor & a Patriot when I went in on Saturday. Iron Fist, Psylocke & Storm have been long gone for 2 or 3 weeks now though. They don't restock much unfortunately. Except for Green Goblin, they've been getting loads of him for a while now...bit random.

I didn't know Orbital stocked MU, last time I went in there was September... How much are they in there? I'm pretty bummed that Forbidden Planet sell them for £10.99 now, even more so we get less accessories with them.

I actually found it cheaper to buy stuff from other Arkers, even if they're in the US than getting what I want on ebay in the UK.

Tell me about it, £10.99 for a single and £19 (before delivery if people don't stay near one) for the comic packs is almost pricing me out of it here; its non-scalping ebayers and, eventually when i build a decent rep here, arkers who provided much neeeded Marvel flotation for me
Entertainer has had it's awesome moments, when the first few waves from 2010 could be bought in there for £4 (Juggernaut, Wrecker, Archangel, HOM Spidey etc) but they don't get anything in unless Toys R Us have extra stock, which is rare. Now like proteus said it's just kitty prides. They would shift easily if they just got more stock. Asdas and Sainsbury's have also had their rare occasions where I could get MU for around a fiver, last night I saw Apocalypse in my local for £5 but he was the only one on the shelf. Most of the time they don't even have a label for the figures and don't stock them, which is absurd IMO because they clearly sell out quickly. The only figure i've bought for £10.99 has been Astonishing Wolverine, and that is because funnily enough it was the cheapest I could obtain him as he is sold out everywhere else and online. I'm going to try and make the effort to be more active around here, I have no problem in helping other people out if I can. Toyark appears to be the best place for MU fans, it's a shame there isn't a more UK focused forum though as the UK specific threads get lost over time. |

My local Asda got a sudden restocking of Spidey-2099, Apocalypse and Doc Strange, picked up the first two. Mines were at 7 pounds though, there never seems to be an MU reduction at the ones up here :/ At current prices of between 9 and 11 pounds, it's causing me to think harder at what figures I want, which is almost impossible with the next few waves.
But I agree with the above, I need to be more active about here, get acquainted with folks before deals are struck etc. Anyone know how shipping tends to be, i.e. length of time and cost for singles/comic packs? |

I found something out to share with you all today:
Went to the Planet in London (again) to see if they had new Joes or MU (again). They didn't (again), but they had a stack of 6 or so Hasbro boxes on the merchandise desk. I wandered over to see what they were and they all said AVENGERS on them! There was a piece of paper stuck to the side with big writing that said: "Avengers Movie Figures DO NOT UNPACK before the Embargo of the 27th." And something about not entering it into the system before then either. Someone was opening the stock room door at this point and I saw a Huuuuuge cage filled with even more boxes. Didn't get a chance to see if they had any larger boxes, so no idea about vehicles. So there you go! First week of March, happy hunting. |

Good idea maybe people could also post any MU figures they are looking for too?? With them turning up as randomly as they do would be great to be forewarned what people are looked for, that way they could be picked up on sight, rather than us going back to the shop to get stuff and they are all gone!!

I think that's the problem with collecting in the UK, it's not so much that we never get anything, it's that we get random stuff, and places like TRU, Entertainer and the Disney store might get a wave in and then nothing for the next couple of waves. I think it would be really good if we could use this as a sightings thread.

Nothing more annoying than finding the wavemates of the figure you're actually after.

Seeing that your local ASDA has restocked.....only to see IronMan and Thors on the shelves comes close. But that does sound like an awesome idea lads, strength in numbers; united we stand and other such clichéd expressions of team work

Cool!
I'll start things off then, Forbidden Planet now has the first wave of Marvel Legends in stock. Entertainer seems to have given up on all things Marvel with just a few Spider-Man figs left and the Disney store is still selling its endless supply of the Doc Strange wave. I might be going to London next week so might have to check out Orbital and FP there. By the way, does anyone know the difference between Forbidden Planet and Forbidden Planet International? Always intrigued me that.

Forbidden Planet London does'nt have Sinister/Gambit or Warlock/Thanos, I think they are due in at the start of March looking at their website. If you ask the guys in store they check their own website...
They have a couple of Legends Extremis Iron Man left, and I think 1xKlaw and 1xGhost Rider. Orbital does have 1xSinister pack as of this lunch time. Forbidden Planet and Forbidden Planet International are seperate companies, but I don't know anything more than that. Just out of interest has anyone found a variant figure on UK shelves? Deathmask Archangel, Astral Strange, Unmasked Iron Patriot? I'm convinced we don't get them, not even from import places like the Planet or online. |

I've seen DeathMask Archangel once in Toyz and Gamez in Norwich, around last year. It was £15 at the time, which I couldn't really justify for myself. The shop has since relocated to another part of the city and i'm yet to venture out to check it out. It's a smaller venue now though so I doubt they will be stocking as much in. |

Iv never seen any variants, but its possible they dont pack em into the european lots aint it?? Its gone very quiet around me,the Entertainers in Wrecsam and Chester have the dregs of MU left (A.I.M soldiers,Havoks,Kitty Prydes, and i think Luke Cage) as i said above Tesco in Wrecsam had 4 boxes of the Apocalypse,Cyclops,Spiderman 2099,Skaar,Scarlett Spider,Dr Strange, assortments but they disappeared within a couple of weeks,i dont know if they would have sold that quick,i did wonder if they had been pulled from the shelves.....

The closest I've had to any variants is two different wolverines on a shelf. My tesco had that line also. I picked up Skaar and Cyclops and the rest seemed to almost "disappear" a few days later

We got the Toxic Strike Venom variant - with and without the tongue hanging out.
I found the Adam Warlock/Thanos CP in FPI a few weeks ago but sadly Sinister was long gone, snagged by a staff member I reckons.

Aww, I never found the with tongue version of Venom...
My local Tescos has completely removed the Marvel Universe stuff, even the price label, but did restock a whole load of Spider-Man figures from the Lizard/Scorpion wave. |

Ditto; Power Rangers, Bakugan, Ben 10 and for some reason Lego seems to have really increased everywhere...Even Star Wars was virtually empty, despite the new Phantom Menace stuff being released.
