Exceptional shoot Joe! Love the one where he's unmasked holding the human skull up high with his left hand.
I can't wait to get my pre-order of this fantastic figure But the breakage issues worry me...

The gauntlet break is apparently pretty common. I don't recall seeing any others with the breakage issues at the hip connections. I wasn't looking, tho, to see what other may have experienced.

Great photography Joe! I have not opened the wrist computer on my City Hunter for this exact reason. It really is a highly detailed figure, hope the Jungle Hunter is the same if not better.

Joe, I'm getting tired of telling you how awesome your photo shoots are. But...this is an awesome photo shoot! Seriously great work...your lighting, posing, camera angles, the backgrounds...all top-notch.
I bought two City Hunters, since the Ultimate figures gives you so many posing/display options and the City Hunter is one of my all-time favorite Predators...I have one masked and one un-masked. Such an awesome figure and an amazing value for the money. Prior to this I just had the City Hunter that came in the TRU 2-pack, and this is a huge upgrade. In addition to the added articulation and accessories, I also love that they added a clip for his spear on the back, and the plasma caster backup on his left gauntlet. The new netgun is sweet as well. So cool. It's VERY common, yeah. I've had two wrist computer covers snap off after barely touching them...it was actually pretty shocking how very easily it happened, as if the hinge was made out of tissue paper and not plastic. I ended up exchanging both figures. The two replacements I have so far have not had this issue, but I'm going to avoid opening/closing that cover much going forward. No problem with my hips, however. Everything's tight. Last edited by Dolemite; 03-09-2017 at 12:29 PM.. |

Yeah, my wrist computer broke. The strings on his loincloth and one of his satchels broke, as well. Nothing totally disastrous, but a bummer. I still love the figure; and consider it one of my favorites NECA has put out to date.

That's too much information, man.
If money wasn't a problem, I'd get two Ultimates to show off each head option like you did. Guess I'll settle for the upcoming NECA's plan for accessory stands as seen at this year's Toy Fair.

It's a great figure but the breakage issues are very common, especially with the wrist computer. I'm currently on my second Ultimate City Hunter because the first one the wrist comp's door had already snapped off in route before I even opened the box. For the life of me I can't imagine what possessed NECA to think using such a flimsy single hinge for that door was a good idea.
Amazing photos though, thanks! That aside I don't think the issue is the single hinge design. I thought it was as well, but after mine broke, I made new replacement hinges out of softer plastic taken from some broken plasma caster arms from some NECA AVP figures and they work great! Nice and flexible and resilient. If NECA molds these hinge pieces out of softer plastic like what the gauntlet is molded out of, I think the figure wouldn't have this issue. |

The combi-stick/spear feels pretty fragile too, but I haven't had one break on me yet.
