I like the Spidey. I would buy it if it was 4 inch scale.
Nova doesn't look like he has arm artic. though. That stinks. |

Depending on the price, I might pick up nova just to tear apart and use for a custom. Otherwise this line is going to just be what I might buy for cousins around birthdays if they like the show.

These are some of the worst 6 inch figures I've ever seen.

WTF? Did we take a trip through time back to 1992?
These look worse than some of the old Toy Biz marvel figures. Super-articulated Spider-man my ass. |

Remember, these are aimed at children after all. Though only those three were shown? Weak...couldn't they have threw in a few more?!

Same way I feel. People say the Wolverine and the X Men figures were under articulated because they were aimed at kids but look what outsold them; Marvel Universe. I WONDER WHY... Apparently there are over 100 figures coming, unless Hasbro meant other Spiderman lines too.

Well this isn't the first time hasbro or toy biz has tried the under articulation method. Pre-legends there was a period of time where the figures matched this exactly. That era right towards the end of the X-Men 90s line and the start of the hulk line, avengers line, generation X line, silver surfer line, and the onslaught line. Then as mentioned above Hasbro tried that briefly too. Toy biz though had some of the worst offenders of wtf are you thinking. Going from 10 pts of articulation to 5. You're not supposed to go down in the same series! You're supposed to go up!
This just reminds me of those figures, but not as detailed. Same articulaton though pretty much. Hopefully if anything for the kids, with the articulation this low it can go nowhere but up in later waves as they redo characters and give kids a new reason to buy the same figure. Actually yeah, these look entirely on par with the generation X or Robot Fighter figures from back in the day. God I hated those static figures as a kid. The best gambit and Jubilee Toy Biz released(robot fighters) had horrible articulation. Same to many of the other awesome sculpts of the time like the first heroes reborn ironman and even Marvel Select Ultimate Ironman(okay this one wasn't toy biz, but it still had sucky articulation worse than these guys). |

Holy crap those are terrible. Hopefully someone somewhere likes them.
Makes sense why the room got quiet when Hasbro showed these at the panel. Not something anyone is clamoring for. Apparently Hasbro didn't get the memo that comic fans aren't digging the Ultimate Spidey show, and are pissed about the EMH being cancelled... |

UUUUhhhhh..... Nova is a short scrawny kid... not Sylvester Stallone... Even Spider-Man looks NOTHING like Ultimate Spider-Man. Colors are too bright, eyes are wrong, just... everything... looks off. Sorry Marvel, but Batman: Brave and the Bold toys looked 100x better.

it looks like hasbro is doing this all across the board with most of their brands.. cutting articulation.. adding more and more gimmicks, increasing their prices.
it's a shame. |

haha man, i like how that spidey has rocker ankles and hinged wrists but no waist swivel. i can forgive the dumbing down of articulation but it's not Kenner 1978 anymore. :\

But seriously hasbro? What the hell is up with your crippling aversion to any sort of torso articulation recently? Could they really not have just given spidey some swivel wrists to save money and free up some dough to put in the goddamn waist swivel!?

Hasbro-Ultimate-Spiderman-Super-Articulated-Spiderman
looks good, well best of the 3. Nova could be kitbashed to make a better nova, and iron spidey headsculpt looks good, but the rest is meh, especially with the stupid booger blaster. |

Nova cant bend his arms or has any waist swivel. No ankle joints either. Gorified Power of the Force figure only twice the size.
