I run a thread similar to this over at actionfigurenews.ca, so most of you already know what this thread will entale, and to be honest, isn't the title pretty straight forward?
Anyways, have some interesting little news tidbits from the world of DCUC that I came across today, so sit back and enjoy! 1) According to an interview conducted with MattyCollector on the 15th of December here at ToyArk.com, Mattel is planning on rereleasing DCSH Mr. Freeze in a deco they claim has yet to be seen.... Here is the question and answer given by Mattel during the interview... Q: The DC Superheroes Mr. Freeze figure is arguably one of the best figures from the DCSH line. Is it beyond the realm of possibility to see this figure repainted for the DC Universe Classics line(maybe in a Super Powers inspired deco)? It is a great figure that most newer fans missed out on. A: We do have plans to reissue this figure in time. As to what deco, that remains to be seen! Canada recently started receiving shipments of the popular MOTU Vs. DC 2-packs and according to the MattyCollector forums, a series of 6 are currently in the works. According to Mattel: Ww have a total of 6 new packs in the works including the Hawkman vs. Stratos and Merman vs. Aquaman packs out now. The next pack will be revealed in the Jan shipping issue of Toy Fare and it will involve characters with guns. Does this mean we'll see Deathstroke or Vigilante (Adrian Chase) in the next line? Only a short time until the pictures are revealed! And, just as an interesting sidenote, MTV recently released their list of the best toys for 2010 and C&C Darkseid made #9! The Top Ten Toys of 2010 » MTV Geek Anyways, that's all for now, thanks to MattyCollector and MTV for sharing! |

For those who've yet to see the latest pictoral updates from DCUC Wave 16 over at my actionfigurenews.ca thread, here are the latest ones. The first is that yellow-skinned madman, the Creeper!
He features a new body sculpt and some double-jointed articulation to get him into some really nice poses! Thanks to TheFwoosh for the pics! |

"As to what deco, that remains to be seen," means either that they haven't yet decided what deco, or they aren't ready to reveal it (Due to the possibility they may change their minds). Not that the deco is something we haven't seen before. |

Thanks for the welcome guys and yes, I misunderstood the answer, so thanks for clearing it up!
Next in the DCUC Wave 16 pictoral updates is a figure that may stary from the Batman theme of the wave, but is perhaps one of the most anticipated figures in the entire line - Jonah Hex.... He features a beautifully sculpted face done by the Four Horsemen and features some interesting gun accessories. According to Mattel and TheFwoosh, the reason Hex was chosen for the line was to give fan's of the comic something positive to look forward to after the horrid film from this past summer. |

Thanks for the welcome again!
Here we have the final DCUC Wave 16 pictoral update - Mercury, the third Metal Man to be cast in plastic by Mattel! He features an interchangable hand construct and double joints for better posibility! In regards to DCUC Wave 17, I don't know how official this is, but Action Figure Insider had the following rumor list up for DCUC Waves 17-19. Originally, the lists came from someone over at RTM who claims they have it on good authority these will be the next three DCUC waves offered by Mattel. Take these with a grain of salt, but feel free to discuss your opinion on some of the choices of characters supposidly being released in the next three lines! Wave 17 Flash III (Wally West) / Prof. Zoom variant Vixen Weather Wizard Chief Sandman/ Sand 50/50 Elongated Man Collect & Connect : Elasti-Girl Wave 18 Lightning Lad Saturn Girl Cosmic Boy Lead Toy Man / variant Johnny Thunder & Thunderbolt / Jakeem Thunder & Thunderbolt 50/50 Collect & Connect : Colossal Boy Wave 19 Flash (Jay Garrick) Star Girl Vandal Savage Captain Marvel Jr / Osiris 50/50 Brainiac 5 Mon El / Variant Collect & Connect : STRIPE |

The wave is mostly Superfriends El Dorado, Black Vulcan, Silver Age Metallo, Manhunter, Samaurai, Bizzarro/Superman, with switchable head and hands, and the c and c is Apache Chief. I know this for a fact, I site a ToyFare article in which the 4H were interviewed but they were not given permission to photograph, that at least Samaurai has had a 2 up sculpt that's been sitting at 4H studio since the DCUC line began. Your thoughts? Last edited by jimster2010; 12-22-2010 at 11:04 AM.. |

^^ Well, that was just a list I pulled off AFI, but I have also heard the rumor that Wave 17 is supposed to be the Rainbow Lanterns.
In regards to the supposed Wave 18, Silver Age Metallo, Samuari and the C&C Apache Cheif would be really awesome! |

I agree about the Superfriends. That show and the old Batman TV series were my first introduction to the DC Universe and I wouldn't mind figures based off of either, but I was surprised by how many DCUC collectors have conplined about the prospect if it happens. By the way, the rumored c and c for the rainbow lantern wave is supposedly Nekron the last fan choice winner in Toyfare.

^^ Actually, I heard it's supposed to be Anti-Monitor and Nekron is slated for release as a C&C figure in either Wave 20 or Wave 21 of the DCUC series.

I am actually really surprised no one has asked for hints regarding DCUC Wave 17 through the Ask Matty Q&A sessions so many websites have.
In any case, with Toy Fare only a few months away, I am sure something will surface regarding the line between now and then. |

Here is a collage image DCUC.info passed on to me this morning for DCUC Wave 17. Really loving Scarecrow, Flash and White Lantern Hal Jordan most of all!
Also, here is the write-up taken from MattyCollector's Facebook page: Well the rumors this time are true! Wave 17 for DCUC is coming soon and it is our first step into the Blackest Night! While we do have more Blackest Night concepts in the wings, this wave should help whet fans appetite for all the colored Lantern goodness! Wave 17 will consist of Orange Lantern Luthor, Yellow Lantern Scarecrow, White Lantern Hal Jordan (with Black Lantern Variant), Violet Lantern Wonder Woman, Blue Lantern Flash and Indigo Lantern Atom. Together they will create a Collect and Connect modern Anti-Monitor! And to answer the inevitable question, we did look into Red Lantern Mera. The only way to do her right is with a 100% tool and for that cost we can do 4 other figures. So while she did not make the cut this time around, we do know fans want complete sets and we are committed to one day getting her out there! For now, a very happy holidays from all of your friends at Mattycollector.com and we’ll see you all in the New Year. Wave 17 will be on sale in late Spring 2011! The figure line-up includes: •Black Lantern Hal variant •Indigo Lantern Atom will come with his staff •There is hope with Barry as the Blue Lantern •Even Lex can get more greedy when he is an Orange Lantern. Check out the newly tool’d belt piece…maybe a redeco one day…? •Wonder Woman has never looked so violet! •White Lantern Hal Jordan is ready to take on the Blackest Night! •Yellow Lantern Scarecrow will actually come with a “Hal Jordan” battery in yellow to be comic accurate. •The Collect and Connect Anit-Monitor to power your Black Lanterns! |

The only ones I'm remotely interested in is Scarecrow and Black Lantern Hal Jordan. What a shame.

Figured everyone would like a closer look at the figures!
Scarecrow, Flash and White Lantern Hal look great! Mind you, I am a little surprised that this series wasn't released under the Green Lantern Classics subline now that I think about it. |

This Blackest Night wave made my christmas!
And if wave 18 is the Superfriends wave, then this, combined with GL Classics will definately tied me over for skipping that unappealing wave. Last edited by Crazy Jetty; 12-23-2010 at 05:02 PM.. |

Captain Collector over at DCUC.info was kind enough to pass on this photo of a newly released varient of DCUC Wave 15 Tyr. Nothing too exciting other than the darker skin coloring, but interesting nonetheless.
Thanks, DCUC.info for passing this one on! |

Much ado about nothing. They're almost in equal #'s as the light skinned ones at my local Wal - Mart.
