More DCUC Rumor lists have arisen, this one focusing on Waves 18-20 thanks to the DC Hall of Justice Message Boards....
Wave 18 El Dorado Toyman Black Vulcan Superman and Bizarro (interchangeable head and hands) Manhunter Metallo C&C Apache Chief Wave 19 Flash Shade Sandman Vandal Savage Stargirl Atom C&C S.T.R.I.P.E. Wave 20 Superman Saint Walker Firestorm Larfleeze Guardian Arisia C&C Nekron Something interesting to note, although this is just a rumor list, is that Mattel stated Nekron would be the C&C figure for Wave 20 and we've already heard rumors about Wave 18 being a Super Friends line. What do you guys think? Anything on these lists catching your interests? |

The persistent wave #18 rumor pretty much makes it seems like a done deal. If the wave # 19 and # 20 lists are true, it looks like I'll be saving some money, but not for long. It's been confirmed that there will be a new Wal - Mart 5 pack with brand new figures later on this year as well as a TRU 2 pack featuring Harley Quinn and the black tuxedo Joker. Also the pending announcement of the Dark Knight Classics line which should be released real late in 2011 or early 2012 to coincide with The Dark Knight Rises. Speaking of which how about Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, supposedly a done deal, with Tom Hardy as Bane.

First... Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, can't see it. But as Harley Quinn, she'd have been great.
Unless "Manhunter" in wave 18 is Martian Manhunter in his militant style costume, then there's nothing in that wave I want at all. Complete and total skip. Wave 19, if true will be annoying, because I only want Flash (Who's rumored to *finally* be Wally), Stargirl, and S.T.R.I.P.E. I love and hate BaFs for this very reason. Wave 20 is another must have every one.

Wave 20 is another must have every one. There's been talk of a Jay Garrick Flash being released before Wally, which would make sense due to the JSA running theme throughout the most recent 8 waves. If Superman is the light blue costume Superman that was supposed to be released last summer then I'll pick him up if the Firstorm is actually Deathstorm, I'll get that too. The others probably not. Anne Hathaway casting, I have high hopes, I mean she's a decent actress and maybe not my first choice either but everyone said the samething about Heath Ledger and he owned that role. I'm still on the fence about this Bane thing obviously it's going to be a stripped down version of the character from what we've seen before from Nolan, but I wished they went with another villain for him to play. |

Oh, I have every faith in Nolen. Just like you said, she'd not be my first choice. I have every belief since Nolen cast her that she can pull it off... it's just one of those ".....huh." type situations.
And yeah, from Wave 20, the rumors I've been hearing is that Superman and Firestorm are both Black Lanterns.

I would really love to get a Wally before a Jay, but since we don't know which costume Mattel will be using for Wally yet, I'm ok with getting Jay first.
But since DC has decreed that all new figures of characters must be in their modern costumes... Well who knows, but any Flash love is welcomed. |

I'm totally digging the rumored Waves though I would like more clarification on the Flash if it was Jay Garrick or Wally, Manhunter as the 80s version or MA Kate Spencer Manhunter but I'm sad that Red Lantern Mera and Professor Zoom is STILL missing.
And where did you pick up those Wave 16 figures? |

Cool, I'm still waiting for my BBTS.com order and havent been disappointed however I might stop pre-ordering cuz the Meijer and K'mArts in my area have caught up to Wave 15 and Green Lantern Classics 1 so I might just take a break from the preorders for a bit.

I cancelled my BBTS pre - order 2 days ago. I almost ordered them from Entertainment Earth today because they were in stock but the owner of the shop called me to say he got them in and at the price he was charging I figured I'd be paying about the same from an online dealer so why not. Pre - orders are tricky but usually BBTs is fast I don't know what's going on with them not getting this wave.

The DC Hall of Justice Message Board recently states that Toy Man has replaced the formerly planned Samurai in Wave 18, the original figure instead being released in the Wal-Mart exclusive 5-pack later in the year along with Super Friends versions of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor.
Also, the same site mentions that the Flash figure supposidly slated for Wave 19 is planned to be Jay Garrick! |

The character you're thinking of is Paul Kirk, the Silver Age Manhunter. |

Thank you buddy. I'm hoping that Mattel makes Manhunter in his 1980's costume with the silver mask. That's the one when I first started reading comics.

^^ Oh, than your actually thinking of Mark Shaw, the man who joined the Manhunter sect in the 1980's.
Action Figure Pictures passed these shots on, taken from SDCC 2010, of the first few members of Mattel's planned Legion of Superheroes boxset, which is supposed to be released at some point later this year. Included in this pictoral update are: Cosmic Boy Matter-Eater Lad Lightening Lad Saturn Girl Super Boy Enjoy and thanks to AFP for the shots! More information as it becomes available! |

woohoo. Jay Garrick! I'm loving the releases because I can weed out my DC Direct figures and resell them. And can't wait for the LOSH pack on Matty Collector.

I always find it hilarious when I think of the names they came up with for some of the members in Legion of Superheroes. I mean, come on - Matter Eater?
The Lad/Lass and Boy/Girl thing I attribute to the era (and an easy method for sidekick names), though it always struck me as a little condescending. Like when an authority figure who is unrelated to you refers to you as "son." Having said that, nothing's really piquing my interest with these newer waves except maybe Garrick.

I agree very few figures from the recent waves are worth me going through the trouble of tracking down at my local retailers and buying.
