Yeah, those upcoming VC figs aren't very exciting. Sing is a cool figure, but I already got her in the Legacy line (same fig and accessories). I guess I'll get Ashoka since I collect Jedi and Sith, but all I'm really looking forward to here is Nien Nunb and a I'll pick up a couple of Emperor Guards.

The Darth Malgus one is $104.99, I believe, at Toys R Us. |

Check out Yakface.com's in-depth look at the Target/Zellers exclusive Vintage Droids 3-pack, which includes a brand new Power Droid with a removeable access cover!
The set is listed at $24.99, which may be too steep for some collectors, and the Power Droid is tan instead of blue, but, in my opinion, this is an awesome set that shouldn't be passed up... Enjoy! |

I'm not ripping on anyone and if you have enough ships for all those pilots then you are awesome and I want to be your friend. Jedi, Sith, Mandolorians, Aliens and scoundrels I get. Same uniform pilots with head/hand/feet swaps, no. |

i guess for readers and fans of the x-wing/rogue squadron novel books. Imagine if they released all of the pilots from episode 4.

Yakface.com has a nice, in-depth review of the Vintage Collection/Lost Line version of Jar Jar Binks up on their site today!
Surprisingly, I don't hate this piece, regardless of how deeply I despise Jar Jar. Although the coloration is slightly off, the articulation has improved somewhat over the Movie Heroes version and Hasbro even included a soft-goods skirt, which allowes the figure to sit atop a kaadu fairly well. To each his own, however, as I often say. While I think the piece is an improvement over the Movie Heroes version, some may disagree. In any case, these are some descent Jar Jar figures were getting nowadays, and shockingly, I don't hate them. Enjoy the attatched pictures! |

Y'know, I've never really understood the draw of the pilot figures. Wal-Mart had the comic packs and they just never had any appeal for me. You can army build with generic Stormtroopers but pilots are just different enough to be their own characters.

Same uniform pilots with head/hand/feet swaps, no. This too. I've read and own all the Rogue Squadron novels as well as the comics. Actually I saw that they are releasing a new Rouge Squadron book this year.

Yakface.com has a great review of the newly released K-Mart (sorry, guys) exclusive AT-ST. This is, by far, the best version of this vehicle we've had to date, with a near perfect paint scheme. And, who doesn't love that Vintage-style box?
On the negative side, Hasbro went a little heavy with the mud deco around the feet and, according to Yakface, some of these seem to be plauged by slightly wobbly legs. All in all, though, a good piece! |

A bit of acetone on a qTip will take that excess mud off.

Check out Yakface.com's in-depth look at the newly released TRU Exclsusive Speeder Bike w/ Biker Scout!
This is said to be the ultimate Speeder Bike set offered by Hasbro to date! The detail is flawless and the updated Biker Scout (from 2006) features improved articulation so he can actually pilot the Speeder Bike properly. The exploding feature is now gone, and the set now includes a display stand! On the minus side however, seems a few of these are coming with warped handles due to how their packaged and the Biker Scout, although improved upon, seems to be showing signs of yellowing and sloppy paint in spots. All in all, the set looks good to me. To each his own, but I won't be passing it up! |

While they've yet to show up in Canada, Yakface has a great in-depth look at the Clone Trooper Lieutenant from the Lost Line Vintage series wave!
Based off the super-articulated VC45 AOTC Clone Trooper, the figure doesn't feature a whole lot of new components, but the color flashes are applied well and the figure features all the initial figures great articulation and standard Clone Trooper accessories of a blaster pistol, blaster rifle and removeable helmet. While I don't see anything worth complaining about this figure and think it's about time we started getting AOTC Clone Officers, Yakface does mention the paint around the ankles looks slightly odd. To each his own. Another I won't be passing up! Enjoy! |

I had a warped handlebar with my speeder. 10 seconds with the hairdryer and it returned to normal. Scout has hips that hinge outward and a true double ball jointed neck. Recommended.

It's one thing to buy the occasional badass Sith or Jedi, something else entirely to start buying vehicles and larger stuff. I dont even do that with my Marvel figs- no Quinjet for me.

Just received word from my cousin in Detroit that the K-Mart Exclusive Ewok Scouts and Endor At-ST Crew have started showing up at retail.
According to a story posted over at jedidefender.com, the sets are also showing up at some Sears retailers as well... |
