That concept Boba figure looks great. I missed him when the McQuarrie figs were first going around.

New Landspeeders and Tauntauns are in stock at most Targets (even if they are not on the shelf yet). I am getting the Landspeeder but I can wait on the Tauntaun. I am suspicious Hasbro purposely left out the split belly feature on Han's Tauntaun so they can sell the toy again years from now when they revise it . landspeeder 087061732 $24.99

I took a close look at Han's tauntaun today at Target. There is a solid plug in the belly that will allow for the split belly feature to be added later. If buyers don't want to wait for that feature, $25 is not that bad of a price for 3 figures and a creature ( especially if you don't already have those figures).
So I almost bought Luke's tauntaun because it really doesn't need upgraded features down the road. His tauntaun is unique with the broken horn , but doesn't even include Luke. I only left the store with the new landspeeder. |

Check out Yakface.com's look at Han Solo (Bespin), recently released in The Vintage Collection! This is the best Bespin Han we've gotten to date! He's got a great paint deco, updated articulation over past versions and has some nice, screen accurate accessories. Seriously, this version should be in every Star Wars fan's collection! Even the absence of a holster strap is easily overlooked!
Enjoy! Last edited by Prowl 2009; 10-21-2011 at 11:16 AM.. |

Just found Bespin Han today myself. I'm really looking forward to the new Landspeeder even though I have no room on my SW shelf for it.

the future of star wars figures imo is the EU,its so wide open and there is a big enough fan base to support it,plus I am sick of the same rehashed figures year after year.

We just got the AOTC line back in August, so I don't expect any new Vintage Collection pieces to show up at least till around Christmas at the earliest.

To kick off the week, check out Yakface.com's awesome review of the newly released Target (or, Zellers, if you live in Canada) exclusive Search for Luke Skywalker set. It features figures of Han Solo, who receives a nice upgrade in the form of ball-jointed hips, a repacked Hoth Rebel Soldier and an awesome upgraded Taun Taun!

Check out Yakface.com's look at the Vintage Collection Echo Base Rebel Soldier. Plain and simple, you want him for your Rebel Army, crooked goggles and all!

this might not be "up-and-coming figures" but it could help you buy some;
Toys 'R' Us - Newspaper Ads 2 day doorbuster sale at TRU stores, Fri and Sat only. You can get any SW figures 2 for $11.99 by using the 20% coupon on the first page of the ad. Their website lets you print the coupon. Without the coupon, the deal is 2 for $14.99. Last time there was a sale like this, TRU only had 2 figures I wanted. So I bought those 2 and took my receipt to the nearest Walmart for a price match. Last edited by JustryGT; 11-03-2011 at 09:06 PM.. Reason: gram |

i can forsee a problem with all future astromechs:
they are all build-a-droid. now i know this is obvious but the problem isnt there. its that the legroom provided on many ships is not enough to accomodate the extra shoulder room on the new astromechs. i first picked up on this when i realised how much of a pain it is to get them into the delta7b socket and the clone wars y-wing. any further thoughts on this notion, especially considering there are 5 new ones on the way all build-a-droid. |

As far as today's sale goes; Not only did TRU not have anything worth buying, Walmart was bare as well. So much for that sale. If I were in Orlando , I might have found something. |

Anyway, went by TRU yesterday and found a Ponda Baba and Bastila Shan on the pegs. Bastila Shan was unpunched, and the card was in great shape, so I decided to keep her MOSC. After the popularity of Revan, the last Fan's Choice winner, I think it was a good idea. Plus I have another on the way. Finally, I did open Ponda, and he rocks. |
