Hmmmmmmmmmm, the only TRU closing here in CO is the one that looks like a hurricane hit it and never has anything new. They still have fresh cases of the Odin and Thanos wave for ML. Go figure.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, the TRU I went to as a kid is closing. That's depressing as there goes another childhood store.

This sucks. Two of my closest stores (including the newest, nicest, and best stocked one) are closing.

One of my favorite stores, the Horsham, PA store is also closing. Always liked that one and it's fairly new.

A few in my area are headed to the chopping block, but thankfully my local one, which is one of the best stocked and best run in the area, is remaining open. I had a bit of a scare because at one point I thought the store was going to close, but I realized that it was just the Babies R Us nearby (the state-by-state list in the article doesn't distinguish between the two, so if there's any confusion, check the address listed). So I dodged a bullet there, since my favorite TRU will remain open. However, this is a major bummer, as it signifies the end of an era of sorts. Hell, even the Toys R Us where I grew up as a kid is closing, and that one had been there since before I was born.

The buffalo/ Niagara Falls market lucked out. Only the babies r us is closing. Still sad for the employees, but hopefully some can be absorbed to the other 3 stores we still have....Clarence,Amherst or Hamburg.

....... that makes no sense. Both the stores in Des Moines are closing? One of those is /always/ busy... this is sad, for many reasons.

Not all of these are TRU stores. I can confirm that this:
2575 E. Imperial Highway, Brea CA Is a Babys R Us. There hasn't been a TRU in Brea in like..a decade. Glad the Fullerton one is staying open, and the one near work too it seems.

Only two of the stores in San Diego county are closing, and neither of them is our usual store... but the one on Morena was the one I grew up going to, and was often one of the better-stocked ones (hell, just picked up the Shuri/Klaw pack there last week).
Suckage.

Just realized one of the stores in my area was in fact a rather large Babies R' Us and not a TRU (which is right down the street from it.)

I haven't been in a TRU in a long time, and I haven't bought anything from them in even longer a time. They are overpriced to any other store that sells toys. This was bound to happen. Same with KayBee Toys.
