Update!
I love how Tamashii is making the grey on Ozma's VF-25 very distinct compared to the bright white on Alto's VF-25F. The sculpt on this toy is sharp, the head sculpt in my opinion, surpasses both the DX and plamo. |

i thought it shared a similar schematic with the 1/60 ozma? anyhow...still not anime accurate and having picked up the 1/100 vf-25 alto today, and having collected all the current iterations of the vf-25 on the market, it's sweet to play around with as it won't scratch easily but the price needs to come down...

the 1/60 ozma's head has a short neck problem...i haven't gone as far as testing it out for myself so i *hope* this new vf100s series will address this...having said that it's Michel's Messiah all the way for me! oh and the vf-27...

New Official Images!
The head sculpt on this looks great! Hell the whole toy looks great. I wonder if there will be less parts swapping on this one. |

I'm confused with all the varieties of VF-25s out there.

VF-25F-Alto's, used by Alto after Gilliam dies(1st ep), not originally Alto's but since Alto takes after Hikaru in many ways, and that the VF-25F he flies has the same colors as Hikaru's VF-1A from DYRL, it's close enough. RVF-25-Luca's, recon variant piloted by a useless character. AWESOME valkyrie, has an AWACS dome on top. The ELINT Seeker of VF-25's. VF-25G-Michel's, sniper variant. Colors as homage to Max Jenius. Michel though, is just a good sniper, his piloting skills are assumed to be good, though not a lot of focus is on his piloting as much as his sniping. I didn't care for the character but the events he is written into towards the end were unexpected and written very well. |

I like larger figures and definitely no parts swapping. From what I read, Bandai makes a 1/60 while Tamashii makes a 1/100 and 1/70? And what about all the armor? I've seen what seems like a bazillion different types. |

Armored Messiah is the heavy armor version, covers nearly the whole valkyrie and is very bulky, yet can still transform. The armor has wings of it's own, so the valkyrie's wings are swept back in this configuration. Looks like something out of a SHUMP. |

For the largest figure without parts swapping, the best bet is Tamashii and their DX VF-25 line up.
Bandai is Tamashii. The toys come in 1/60(perfect transformation no swap), & 1/100(parts swap). The 1/72 model kits are under the Bandai banner and have minimal parts swapping(removal of gear/hands). Technically perfect transformation just you can't retract the landing gear, you have to pull those off and swap the doors on. VF-25 Messiah only has 2 types, super, and full armor. Super Messiah is the lighter version, and easy way to tell is that you can see the wings clearly, as well as the vertical stabilizers in fighter mode. Armored Messiah is the heavy armor version, covers nearly the whole valkyrie and is very bulky, yet can still transform. The armor has wings of it's own, so the valkyrie's wings are swept back in this configuration. Looks like something out of a SHUMP. I guess my last question would be where to get these for the best price. BBTS and eBay have them at around $200 or so. |
