Spoilers?
OK, after getting caught up (I believe) with Nicktoon's "VOLTRON FORCE"; I have to say that I'd be intrigued by a set of lions that you could rearrange (IE: Make Pidge's green lion the main body)... It'd be especially wonderful if the figure came with the accessories to allow each lion's special weapon (Hunk's spiked wrecking balls, Lance's pistols, etc)... Though I can't quite imagine how they'd be able to engineer each lion to be able to switch its function like that though, since the transformation for the 'main body' appears *quite* different from a 'limb' one... |

From what I see, it looks like the various configurations will just be repaints with minor differences (for instance, the Yellow Torso has different wings).
I doubt they'll be engineered to be reconfigurable. So you'll have to buy each set individually. I hope the toy will be great though, if it is, I might even grab all 5 possibilities, just for the sake of forming an all black Voltron. |

I'm usually not a fan of Mattel's work, and I've never really been into Voltron, but the Classics sound quite interesting. If they were sold in stores, there would be little doubt in my mind that I would get them. Doesn't help that I've heard some horror stories about MC.com exclusives.

I ordered the new Volron set from Matty but after I did, I saw the sets that will be offered at retail. I may want those instead. My son likes the new cartoon alot.

I'd buy Voltron complete if I saw him, but don't plan on subscribing or buying as they're released because I'm afraid I won't be able to get them all.

I'm in on Voltron. Signed up after my buddy saw it in person at comic con. It's something to look forward to every other month.

Well Big Bad Toy Store will. Maybe Brian's Toys if you wanna pay for a little mark up. If not Mattycollector.com at 12pm EST the day of each sale is the only way to get them now. And they will sell fast.

I'd love to pick these guys up, but I'm not about to roll the dice with Matty's online shop.
I have the Trendmasters diecast version as well as the 24 inch and 8 inch plastic versions, so I think I'm good.

They couldn't fix he stubby little legs on the arm lions?
They look like dachshunds! I'd love to see those try orun over uneven terrain...I guess that's why they fly, so they dont get stuck all the time. |

It was Japanimation, dude. The backgrounds just flow without them having to actually move.

I want this new Voltron to customize, and new legs for the arm bots was on the to do list. The cockpits areas are a customizers dream, with all that room for electronics.
If you don't subscribe to mattycollector and buy these you still get the pilots right? Except the exclusive 6th pilot, correct? |

Aside form green/red lion leg fixes, paint and electronics I was contemplating getting some resin and photo-etch 1/48 jet cockpits and Minimates to paint up as pilots., that would give me detailed cockpits and still have room for all the wiring. |

I didn't like these at all in person. More power to people that do, but it just didn't look right to me for some reason.
EDIT: Also, merged with the existing Voltron thread. |
