Surprisingly enough, Voltron wins for me. The Godaikin was able to be brought over and aside from that, though the LJN or whatever giant Voltron was out of proportion, the fact that you could put gi joe size figures in it greatly increased playability for me. Ugly as hell but man that thing was fun. A neighbor had i t back in the day and I envied him.
Robotech was able to have cool items brought over like the Gakken 1/35 Legioss as the Alpha Fighter and the Takatoku 1/3000 SDF-1(albeit stripped of its original gimmicks), but the fact that the 1/55 VF-1 design by Takatoku and later Bandai couldn't be used, held the line back from its greatest potential. Instead we got imported variable model kits and an out of scale VF-1S Super Veritech that could hold figures but only transform its legs(it was originally meant to be fully transformable).

This is another tough match up! In the end I have to choose Voltron. It was one of my favorite toy lines and cartoons as a kid.

Voltron. The only Robotech toy I ever had was a Transformer (Jetfire).

Its a tough one for me cause voltron lions are awesome and the castle of lions is a killer playset .. But i have to choose Robotech .. for one .. there SDF-1 playset is awesome .. then the Valks three toys in one .. you get the classic jets then the alpha jet pure awesome .. then it doesnt stop there .. u also get the cyclone bikes .. and theres still zentraedi pods and invid ships .. so I say Robotech all the way !!

Voltron gets my vote. Never cared about robocross as a kid, and still can't get into Robotech or macross now. It's just not interesting. Fiction or toys.
However, was all over both the toys and cartoon for Voltron then.

wow this one is hard for me too. My main thing though was I had Voltron as a kid but never had any Robotech but wanted them badly. Hell now only Robotech I have is the Revotech lol so guess I'll go with Voltron since I played with that so much as a little kid

Not an easy choice cartoons was awesome great toy lines were cool never had robotech jets always wanted the Roy jet but at the time too expensive but I did have the motorcycle that turned into armor had the complete lion voltron when formed was like 15 inches tall die cast metal beast with many accerories never liked the lame plastic one that holds out of scale lame figures hard choice but I'll go with voltron

I remember getting the Voltron robot for having my tonsils out. Between that, the jello and ice-cream, I volunteered to get an operation every week!
Voltron ftw! |

The robotech toy line, story threads, and universe was so much better than voltron. Here's you basic voltron episode: new bad guy shows up, the good guys get in a bit of trouble, form voltron, and slice the bugger in half. Robotech hands down...!

Im with Ad1976 ^^ Macross for me , if I choose Voltron I'll go for the vehicle team and not the lion team, lion team is a knock off of this Mecha called " Voltes V" , google it my friends they even copied the pilots/riders of the vehicles , so sad.

Voltron. Tough choice to make, but the die cast Voltron set I had as a kid was (is) my all time favorite toy.
Spectacular piece. Cartoons still gives me nostalgia chills too. |

I grew up loving robotech. Had the books and the role playing game and watched the cartoon.

Very difficult for me, but I gave my vote to Robotech, even though I'm really voting for Macross. While I am a big fan of Voltron, I never had any toys for it as a kid (this would be rectified years later thanks to Trendmasters).
