That was Rick's last plea to an old friend, and that shady fucking "friend" couldn't accept his own life. Shane wanted to be Rick, but he isn't. Rick is just a man after all, but Shane wanted Rick's life and that will cost him dearly.

man, just watched the previews for the next episode. looks intense. i was hoping the last episode would change shane around but i dunno.

The masterminds behind the show were clearly trying to make Carl look obnoxious. That is how a little boy would act though, and yes, he is an idiot. I have mixed feelings about Dale.

I think everything played out as is should have. I really love how this show is moving.

Well, after they killed off Sophia in the show, honestly everyones head is on the chopping block. At this rate I don't think Shane is going to die any time soon.

Personally I would have killed the kid (Randall) already and be damned with what Carl thought. Now that he is gone decision making will be a lot easier.

Just saw the sneak peak of next episode. I take it back...Shanes time is near!

Carl is like the second coming of Jake Lloyd, child actors are just so hit and miss.

Spoiler alert.... Dammit I liked the character dale he was the voice of reason on that show but it was awsome how that zombie ripped him apart

The fate of Dale seemed a bit out of place in the story. I think it was to do with Jeffery Demunn's reaction to Frank Darabondt being fired than with how they planned the story to go initially. Bummer. Liked what they were doing with the character, loved the actor portraying him and was really hoping to see how his story would play out. At least they're keeping with the theme of "no one is safe", which is keeping us on our toes.

But by that change, it affected many other characters vs the comic story (particularly Andrea and Dale). I don't mind them fleshing out Rick and Shane's story a lot more.

I am sad to hear the Governor is going to be played by someone other than Michael Rooker. In the comic, with Merle losing his hand the way he did, I was expecting some symmetry there (for those who have read, you would understand). Merle may show up in the other camp in time, which would make sense. But maybe that was something Frank Darabont wanted to do, and his leaving changed things.

I can only guess finding that prison was foreshadowing the future ... but then Rick slammed his car through the fence may have changed my mind. They seem to be giving little winks to the comic ... and then abandoning that story completely. Maybe that was due to contracts or change in the production leadership. It also may have to do with how long they see this show going and keeping the actors and actresses under contract. Costs may cause them to have to wrap up the show much quicker. I keep waiting for them to address the title of the show which was a huge revelation in the comic book.

I thought they already did, but I could be wrong. You're talking about who the term "walking dead" actually refers to, right?

I just figured that the Title could go two ways....

Plus with what happens to a character next week or after and the spoilers are on the back of the new DVD listing.

Plus how they made a deal about the two security guards not having bite marks....
