These things look so cool. I can't believe Mcfarlane is doing something worth purchasing again. I don't buy much in this scale but when I see these in person I may change my mind. Can't wait for the show to start back up.

Very cool, and I'm not complaining here but isn't it a little weird for the figures for something so somber and depressing as "The Walking Dead" to have gimmicky features like "HEAD EXPLODING ACTION!"?.... Just sayin'....

If you've read the comics then you know how things can go from calm to chaotic within a few panels. There are exploding heads for sure, so it isn't that weird.

sorta but not really. grab a ruler and hold it next to the MU stuff. they started out small but gradually kept getting taller so i'd put the MU stuff at about 4.25" scale. not much of a difference but it's easier to see when you have indiana jones, gi joes, MU, and star wars all lined up together.
and yeah the tv series line i read to be 6" but the comic line looks smaller especially in the video where todd mcfarlane and robert kirkman are playing with the comic line zombie. http://youtu.be/xCYpCZ_nYUw also with this test figure: http://youtu.be/nwGDAgXtvmU Last edited by NoodleChow; 09-20-2011 at 12:21 PM.. |

It does look smaller. I hope they're 3.75". If they are I'll get them.

i'd been reading on the spawn boards that the smaller size is a dealbreaker for mostly everyone on there whereas for me, if they're in scale roughly 1:18th scale, they're a must buy. makes sense though since most want they're figures to fit in with the rest of their movie maniacs type stuff. so the live action stuff with fit in and the comic line could be between halo and the prince of persia stuff.

They look great. The TV figures are definitely 6" but I agree that the 2-pack zombies look smaller. Either way, I'm in.

The head-exploding gimmick and the knife lever used to create the effect is brilliant. I think this is the first time an action figure gimmick actually made me WANT a figure.
