Welcome to the Toyark!
But wait, what the frik is the Toyark you say? The Toyark is a fan site dedicated to collecting all things toys! Designed with the collector in mind, the Toyark focuses on 2 things - delivering up to date news and images on all the latest releases, and an in-depth forum community to discuss our favorite hobbies. The term Toyark has been around for a while, starting back in the early 2000's as a small site dedicated to the collection photos of a memeber on the TFW2005 "2005 Boards", Choppaface. A sub-forum on TFW2005 was created called the Toyark to compliment it, and still continues to this day as the place to talk about all things toys (not just Transformers) over there. Over time, Choppaface faded out from collecting, headed off to college, and he forgot about the beloved Toyark.com domain name (booooo ). For years it was in the hands of domain squatters. But, we have resurrected it from void and started an entire site dedicated to all toys and toy collecting. The Toyark is maintained and managed by the same crews (some, not all) that bring you TFW2005.com and Hisstank.com. So if you are familiar with them, we are going to try and build a similar community here over time. We welcome you to join, help grow this beast into the giant it can be! This place is a bit different from 2005 and the Tank, because it is not about just one topic. It in theory will be about all toys, making it potentially much harder to organize and maintain. Because of this, we ask you for your feedback and suggestions. If you think a certain line should have it's own forum for discussion, let us know. If you would like "prefix" options in the various forums to help you further break down your sorting of threads, let us know. If you think anyting at all should or could be done to make this place easier to use, and better to visit regularly, let us know. We will do everything we can to make it cool for you as a fan. In the early months, it will be a learning process to get things right. The admins and upper level staff here do like all toys, even if we don't collect them all. Each of us, and you, will have our own favorite lines, but that doesn't mean we can't provide you with the best place to talk about them all with some work and your feedback. One thing of note before you dig in here, each of these forums, especially the "Property" based ones, like Star Wars, Marvel, DC, etc - these forums are for TOY DISCUSSION ONLY. Pure toys. Not anything else related to the property. So if you are in the Transformers forum, do not talk about "movie set photos" or "the new comic this week". If in Star Wars, you can talk about Hasbro's Clone Wars toy line, but not the Clone Wars television show. These forums are for toy discussion only. Please use our off topic areas for talking about the other aspects of these lines like movies, television, comics, and the like. We want to keep this place focused on the one thing we all dig, hopefully the reason you are here, toys and collecting them. That's about it, feel free to say hello in this thread, and have fun browsing around. Later! |

Ah finally a place where I can meet with my fellow Hisstank and TFW2005 buddies and feel more comfortable speaking about Star Wars, Marvel Legends, DC Universe Classics and whatever other figures might float my boat.
