That is our main source here in St.Louis for Wrestling Figures, and Walmart is 100% BARE on all 16 pegs they have allotted for WWE (and have been bare for the past 5 weeks)...

ToysRUs has OLDER crap in the form of Paul Heyman, Kennedy, & TonyAtlas/Rocky Johnson 2packs... very VERY low and sparatic on their choices.

I know that ToyBiz is taking over the WWE line in 2010, and JAKKS Pacific is taking over the TNA line in 2010/2011 - but their are still new waves of figures that have came out that have not even been seen in our area...

ANYONE know if it's just the economy & the stores are backing off of figures, if it's because of the new switchover from the different companies making them, or if it's just friggin RETARDED???

HELP!!

I wouldn't be able to tell you. I know that my local TRU has a shit load of WWE figures on the pegs, but I don't know if they are new or old. I haven't collected wrestling figures since the Hasbro WWF line from the early 90's.

I think it's just an area thing.

Is it possible that they're putting the figures out and they're just selling out very quickly?

I know that (as ludovicotek said), the WMs and TRUs in Florida were always well stocked, I've been in NY for a couple of months, and I see that it's pretty much the same up here. They're packed up pretty well, but some of them definitely are older figures.

How did the KBs around your area do with the WWE figures? I know as of October '08 we were Jakks #1 seller of WWE (and Pokemon). If they always sold well, perhaps it's just that they're selling out very quickly?

You are correct. Mattel, not ToyBiz, will be taking over the license beginning in 2010. JAKKS Pacific will be producing toys from American Gladiators and UFC. STLHBKid mentions that they will also be producing items for TNA Wrestling.

Even though I'm not really into wrestling anymore, I'm interested to see what Mattel does with the license.

Yup. My local TRU has a crap ton of them too. And we get in new stuff all the time. I think it's just a area/territory thing, man.

@rwsharpjr - no, I have been scoping out the stores and there is NOTHING coming in (or going out apparently)

I am heading up to Chicago to meet Hulk Hogan next Friday - maybe will try to hit some TRU on the drive there and back? St.Louis is pretty bad right now.

To all the peeps saying they have CRAP LOADS in their stores, would anyone be willing to give me a hand and see if you can find a "HORNSWOGGLE" in an orange vest as a single figure (not a 2 or 3 pack)... AND a Jeff Hardy with the FacePaint on - I will pay you for it and the shipping, refuse to spend what websites are asking for it...
