I mean, what if? Would be pretty cool, Matty Collector style figures of star trek characters. with high detail, and items, would be like the art asylum figures but better

Movie Masters might be interesting, but I doubt Mattel could do better than Art Asylum on collector figures, or at least not better enough for people to get interested. I do like the idea of some obscure Star Trek character arriving every month, but with Matty Collector's emphasis on reusing molds, I think it would be a lot of the same generic bodies over and over again, and not as many aliens as I would like.
I almost wish the new Playmates line had lasted long enough to put out the playsets they had announced. Even poorly done, they would have been something new and interesting. |

If Mattel had the Star Trek license... they would have beautiful figures that you would never find in stores.

I really like the way Mattel does Super Heroes, but I'm not sure it would translate as well for Star Trek characters.

I'd rather see Hasbro tackle it as a 3.75" line, personally. But in the 6" scale, either company would be pretty cool if they did a Build-A-Borg promo with interchangeable parts. Then you could make your own unique Borg to go with your other Trek figures.
