I'm tempted to put metal absorbing man on that list only because he was annoying at retail and I had to find other alternatives on getting him. While I open most everything. My metal abby, iron patriot variant, and compound hulk are still MOC. I actually felt a little guilty for opening my dark ms marvel (long hair)...for about 5 seconds |

It all depends on if you keep your figs MOC or not, because I don't and I've gotten pretty lucky with finding all the rare ones without having to spend a shit ton of money(depending on who you ask). People don't seem to like ebay much 'round these parts, but if you keep looking you will get lucky.

Is Mary Jane rare? I won one on Ebay a few months back for £3, which is like 5 dollars? Immediately sold it on to another arker for around 9 bucks shipped because I didn't like the look of it in hand

I'd trade Astral Doc for a Professor X or Blastarr right now...and those will probable be everywhere in a month or so...Variants are cool and all, but I have SO MANY "extras" of some characters now!

I feel you. I need that Professor X in a bad way. He is figure I will probably buy every time I see him. One day I'm likely going to post pictures of my wall full of MOC Xaviers lol.

Hey guys, this thread got me to join up- I know the pain of noot finding that certain figure (I paid $25 for my Thanos at Christmas- found him a week later at Traget!).
So...my target has a ton of the revision waves- I just picked up a second Archangel today for trade- anyone got an extra Iron Fist (loose is fine) or classic Ms. Marvel? They also has the red and blue Warpath, Green, Grey and red Hulks, thing variant, Ronin Variant and basic Iron Patriot and have had the clear Vision (the first one I bought! SO happy!) but stupidly did not buy the second one (I was buying three other figs that day already). |

I go my astral strange through a trade with a fellow arker. Infact, ALL of my rare figures have came from here. And the majority of those came from peterparker

The ones that seem hardest to find for me are:
1. Vision (Really!) Why they don't make another version of this guy is unbelievable! 2. Luke Cage variant the regular version (Yeah, right, there's one w/ a white t-shirt!) 3. Ms. Marvel variant w/long blond hair (Think, I have seen her once!) 4. Mary Jane (Regret not getting her when I had the chance!) 5. Dark Galactus w/Surfer (Heard Rumor that this is out in the wild!, Huh!) 6. Iron-Patriot (Now you see him, then now you don't kind a fig, Not a peg warmer!) 7. 3-pack FF w/clear Sue (Seen it, once...and never again!) 8. Blade (Never seen MOC in the wild, searched night and day, but no Day-Walker.) 9. Warpath either version (Did they really make this fig for retail distribution?) 10. War-Machine IM2 Comic Fig (MU related, and only fig from series have not seen.) That's what I can think of from the top of my head!

He was at TRU Canada for a long time. We got him instead of the classic version. One or two had showed up at discount stores but extremely rare.

Marvel, Blade, and Mary Jane I could all stand to part ways with. Trying to fund a vacation soon, so it wouldn't break my heart to let them go if someone is interested. :P (They're all loose though.. most should have everything inlcuded as well as the top secret cards.)

The clear variant Sue pack is still here on a shelf at a target. Otherwise, decent list!

IMO the Norman Osborne Iron Patriot variant can't be that rare... I still remember when he was first found; he was like the first and only unannounced surprise MU variant that nobody ever heard about until he was actually found on a retail peg. Everybody thought he would be super rare and BBTS even charged 400 bucks for the lone one they had I think... but then he showed up everywhere 2 per case in the Wrecker wave that pretty much flooded retail. I bet most people that wanted one found one or were able to trade for one early on.
Also the flame-on Human Torch variant actually go re-released much later on in a revision case... which I think is the only time a variant was ever re-released... so he can't be that rare either IMO. |
