1.) Skeletor - Seeing him the way th eHorsemen did it is truly a pleasure every single day. From the excellent job on the Havok Staff, to the way the paint wash is on the face, no detail is left out of this awesome figure. Not only is this toy a perfect representation of the bonehead' we all know and love , but it is an terrific update on him aswell.
2.) Vikor - I love Conan. Even more than...dare I say it...He-Man. I loved the old Conan comics. I loved the movies. I ,however, did not love the toy treatment it got. Finally I have Arnold the way he should have been. I even think he wore a very simular helmut in the first movie for a bit. Everything about this figure not only screams Conan, from the excellent sword (that would have made a much better power sword imo) to the perfect muscular structure, and the broken bondage chains, but also screams cool. CRUM!!! lol Now if I only had a nice James Earl "The Snakeman" Jones figure to go with him...hmmm... ;p 3.) Gygor - Giant. Gorilla. Wearing Battle-armor. Need I say more? Okay: Well for starters hes got the biggest damn axe Ive ever seen a toy (short of the old 24' inch Shogun Warriors I used to have) weild. Need even more? CHECK OUT THAT FIERCE ROAR! The sculpting and level of detail poured into this monkeys face is nothing short of amazing. Yes hes yellow , and probly smells really rank, but ya gotta lovem anyway. Honourable mentions: Moss-man, Scareglow, Trap-Jaw, Chief Carnivus Well , in summary I say this: While I love all MOTU Classics figures (yes even Wundar and his bread) I must choose these three as the perfect examples of the line itself. What do yall think?

1. Teela with Battleground Teela headswap- Makes me feel like a little kid looking at a MOTU mini-comic for the first time. Pure awesome. This was a my number one most wanted figure from this line.
2. Hordak- Never got to have him as a kid and always wanted him. Wanted him even more after the 2002 series. 3. Count Marzo-LOVED his update in the 2002 series. The details on this figure are perfect. His gem, the way he can hold it, and the way it can be stored on his belt. So cool, and so much fun to pose. Crap. I can't pick just three. I also love the Goddess, the first ever fully articulated King Hsss, the Shadow Beast (!!!!!), Mer-man (with original package illustration-accurate head!), and the Faceless One!!! I'm also really excited about Granamyr (I just wish the mini-comic version would have won the poll). |

This along with TF Classics are probably my two favorite toylines, so picking three is pretty tough.
1) Battle Cat - Just look at him. I like Panthor almost just a much, but BC came first.. and it's BC. An incredibly detailed, articulated, kick-ass of a beast. 2) Beast Man - I love the original goons. The 4H obviously do it. 3) Merman - Again,.. the OG thing. I loved Merman when I was a kid.. what a colorful jackass. One of the things that made Merman (the original toy) probably a little more interesting for some kids was the fact that on the MOTU cards, the Merman figure pictured had a completely different head than what the figure actually came with. Not different paint apps,.. a completely different head. So which head do we get in the Classics line? ...how about both! Brilliant move. I actually do switch back and forth too. I could go on and on.. I'll at least get Trap Jaw mentioned here,.. and no collection should be without He-Man himself.

Out of the 18 MOTUC figures I own, it's still quite difficult for me to come up with only 3 favorites, but here we are:
1. Scareglow - this guy was my hook into MOTUC, my cherished first-ever figure from this fulfilling line. So he's an easy pick for my #1 fave. Pretty intimidating once the sculpting on his skull is filled out; removable phasing cape; awesome Grayskull reliquary accessory and best of all: he "glows"!! (A feature that will always amp up my addiction to plastic ) 2. Tri-Klops - my favorite of Skeletor's main gang with Mer-Man right behind him. His visor is probably my favorite Classics "feature" so far. Plus his Doomseeker is an excellent throwback to his MOTU2K/200X revamp (which I also loved). And in the mini-comics, this guy could easily hold his own against the Man himself. 3. Panthor - Don't really have much to say about this cat other than that he's just so flippin' awesome! Sure he's basically just Battle Cat with a different head, but I got him before BC so I'll always be biased towards Panthor. Other notables: Mer-Man (Blue-skinned), Moss Man, Skeletor, Optikk, & Chief Carnivus |

Great choices so far guys. I totally agree about Panthor too. I also love how the last fella had thrown a cape unto Skeletor

1. He-Man - I list He-Man because when I first looked at him it felt like the first time I looked at the original figure back when I was about 4 year old. For a split second I almost couldn't tell what was updated. A perfect update from the original design in every way.
2. Trap-Jaw - Another perfect update while at the same time making him much scarier. The razor sharp looking jaw and beady eyes are chilling. 3. Hordak - Just a stunning figure all around. Great detail and it looks larger than life just like Hordak should be. |

3. Vikor - Perfect Conan straight right out of the classic Marvel run. Also - he comes with a heap of awesome gear - probably the best loadout of all of the motuc line.
2. He-Ro - A surprise favorite of mine, didnt think much of him till I got him in hand, (I passed on him until I won him on Ebay for super cheaps). Hes got a lot of realy cool stuff going on, and is just a realy interesting character, I would have loved to see how the whole preternia thing turned out. 1. Leech - No question. He is the Master of bitch slapping and never ever falling over - also hes the guy on my desk that I am always, ALWAYS screwing around with. So much fun - if only he still stuck to stuff...

I own nearly the entire line, it's probably my favorite. Picking just 3 will be difficult, but I'll try.
1. Heman/Battle cat combo-what would a collection be without these 2 2. Trapjaw-my favorite villain by far, and with all the interchangeable parts he's really 2 figures in 1 3. Man at Arms- great figure with 2 different heads so he can be displayed with young or older looks. |

For me my fave 3 at present inlcude
1 - Whiplash - Always been my fav character of MOTU & his MOTUC figure with his brilliant green colour just stands out from the crowd. 2 - Webstor - again a much loved character & his design is spot on. 3 - Count Marzo - Of all the independant villains of MOTU his MOTUC was a great surprise when he was announced & it would be even better if he's released Filmation style. Looking to the future this list may (except Whiplash) change if we get MOTUC Multi-Bot, Spikor & Sqqueeze. |

Tough one. All the figures are great so I'll just list my favorite characters that have figures.
3. Teela We grew up with her. And her amazing animated derriere. You never quite understand how much of a bitch she is until you watch the cartoon as an adult. But it's okay. She can get away with it because she's got it like that. 2. Keldor because Skeletor is cool. Probably the funniest toy villian ever. Keldor is Skels with two blades, acrobatic abilities, and a face. Awesome. 1. Zodak I'm a fan of the characters that aren't the main character/leader that kick as much ass if not more. They're always cooler. That's who the 200X Zodak is to MOTU. A dark, cosmic, meditating, mystic who doesn't say much and knows super kung-fu. Those traits usually make one cool. Fought He-Man to a stalemate after He-Man kept annoying him, and then hemmed up Skeletor and his entire crew in like 20 seconds.

I just got the third of my top 3 favorite characters. I got He-Man and Skeletor last year, and I just scored a Battlecat for $37 off Ebay. That Battcat sculpt is hands down one of the BEST animal figures of any toyline, ever! The detail, personality, and articulation are superb! It seems almost criminal to keep the helmet on, since the tiger's face is so expressive.

I was really, really into MOTU as a kid in the 80s, and in the 90s I went a little nutty acquiring a truly massive MOC and loose collection. I sold it off in the early 2000s for about 1/3 of what it all goes for now. The loose stuff I wish I kept. But it just took up way too much room in my house. I wasn't really into MOTUC at first, and was late to the party, as I had already had and sold all the vintage many times over by 2008. Now I'm catching up little by little and cherry picking, not getting caught up in the matty drama (by buying from anywhere else for cheap!) has kept my heart pure with this line.
#3 BG Teela - this figure was has made me start collecting MOTUC, as I was a big minicomics and DC comics MOTU fan, and this was one part of what hooked me. #2 He-Man - what more can be said, it will be remembered as one of the best figures ever made for years to come. A true classic like the original. #1 Vikor - I wanted a Conan-esque he-man figure as a kid in 1984. I wanted a Vikor toy when I first saw the drawing in a magazine years ago. Now that I own one, it's one of my most favorite pieces in my collection. Just amazing. So much fun. |
