My favorite would have to be the Rolling Thunder from ARAH in 1988. One of the largest toys I ever owned and a ton of fun putting together as well as role-playing afterward. I was never able to get the Flagg, so this was the (mobile) command base for my Joes.
A close second was Castle Grayskull. It even rocked harder when I was able to add the Point Dread set to it. How about you guys?

The TF Baseformers are some of my favorites. Even more so is the M.A.S.K. Boulder Hill. Also, I really enjoy all of the Joe bases (I always wanted a Terrordome). Even the Joe minibases are cool.
I also made a TMNT sewer/city base out of cardboard boxes and markers as a kid. I always loved it! |

I'd have to say either the old Roboforce mountain base, or the TF Micromaster bases all hooked up into a very big city.

As a kid, the Terror Drome was the bomb! I loved that playset/ base. I never had the original HQ so this was it for me. As an adult collector, the FLAGG ruled over all the playsets. I have no shame is telling everyone that I played with that toy. It was an awesome piece and to this day it still rules.

The one I played with the most as a kid was Snake Mountain, and Greyskull as a close second, and a very close third was Skystalker. Loved that thing.

I've only ever had one large playset, and that was the Jurassic Park compound.

I never had many as a kid so they were always the sorta things I drooled at from afar in stores My older cousins had a bunch of the He-Man ones and those were serious eye candy whenever I'd visit.
The ones I actually had...I can't remember really being that cool. I know I had a Batcave from the first Batman movie that I messed with pretty often but from what I remember about it...eh. I had a Super Powers Hall of Justice but that thing was a glorified carry case, no huge fun about it. Last edited by Ktulu; 11-23-2008 at 10:03 PM.. |
