I live in the south bay area and the only place I've found MU is in Target, Walmart and Toys r us. What are some of the place that you've found figs (grocery stores etc)?

The big3 retailers are the only places I've found them at. I kid you not though 1 local walmart has an entire peg full of wave 3 classic iron man and another peg full of the bleeding edge armor.

Wal-Mart
Target ToysRus Kroger Meijer (another grocery) K-Mart Disney Store I've never seen any MU at pharmacies or big department stores, which are places I've always picked up rare figures from other lines. My local comic book shops never have had any, and I've asked. Target seems to get the new figures first. K-Mart and Meijer don't get a lot of turnover, but also have them on the shelf longer. I've had the best luck with Kroger for rare figures -- the mid-sized stores have more than the giant Marketplace stores, but they don't always carry toys. I've only been to the Disney Store twice since they started carrying them, but they were amazing. Wal-Mart groceries don't seem to carry them at all, which surprised me, and I haven't seen them at Biggs, but I haven't been there for a while. |

Walmart, Zellers which will become a target soon enough,Winners, Owl's Hollow local vendor who orders me goodies was able to get me all the sdcc stuff. Comic Hunter and Lightning Bolt comics 2 other local vendors who get stuff in time to time and I can usually get them to order me stuff. If I need stuff bad enough I'll resort to BBTS,ebay, or go for a drive to nearbye province and go to toys r us, and a few other local shops. I stick to the major guys because they charge less then the independant shops but sometimes i'll find the rare stuff or get the option to order a case and pick what I want.

Here in Long Island, NY I've mostly been successful at Target but haven't seen any stock replenished as they are almost all out minus the iron man peg warmers. TRU has had a few but most are almost completely out of Marvel Universe but I've been able to snag a few Spiderman and Iron man figures there. Walmart has been good with the comic packs but nothing else. A few local comic book store have a decent selection but mostly prices are high.

Well, I use an internet store (which probably I cannot mention here). They have a good reserve system and prices are really good (sometimes cheaper than Hasbrotoyshop)
If this forum has a pm system, please do so and I can give you the address. |

The best place I've had luck finding figures in my area is Kroger. Most of them have a tiny little section of toys but carry MU, 2 in my area have a couple aisles of toys. There I've picked up 2 regular Archangels, a variant Archangel, Havok, variant Miss Marvel, and last night I picked up variant Warpath(passed on phasing Vison, already have him). I 've gotten more figures there but those are some of the standouts. The only negative is price $10.99 which is why I usually just pick up the harder to find figures there, but they do run sales on them sometimes.

What about on the west coast? Anyone else know of the more random spots to find them?
side-note: Ebay is not a random spot |

I work in a Kroger here in waterford, michigan..
we have some MU figures, but I'm not sure how we even got them, I run frozen food and sometimes I sneak over and scan the MU tags to try to order them (LOL) the item comes up not found with no info what so ever on them.. I think tomorrow I will go to a few other krogers and see if they have any more on shelf.. at my store we have spider woman , iron man 2020, spiderman 2099, green goblin and a ghost rider.. and yes they are 10.99 here as well.. I think that a hasbro rep of some sort hand delivers them to the store, because nearly every item in the store, if you scan it, it will have some sort of info (how to order, where it comes from, item history , etc..).. |

My best luck is at Target, Walmart, or Toys R Us. In that order. Target seems to sell out of new stuff fast and then take forever to restock. Walmart has been my best bet for comic packs and the occasional new wave. Toys R Us seems to get new stock occasionally, but very rarely.
None of the Kmarts in my area stock any MU anymore. |

Same here with my K-Mart. Target seems to do the best out of my big 3 (TRU Target and Walmart). But I'd like to spread the word about my Disney Store (Clackamas Town Center if you're in the area). Now I know Disney bought Marvel, and I know I've heard stories on here about Disney store having nothing, but I just want to say I was in there in the beginning when they all scratched their heads. And since then I was in just a couple of weeks ago, totally different story. Large display in the center of the store, more pegs than anywhere (realistic estimate of about 24 (not kidding!)) ex: Archangel, Constrictor, Yellowjacket, Bullseye, Daredevil variant, Kitty. Solid stuff.) Biggest news is that the lady said they had just gotten that all set up 2 weeks prior. This ish launched in '09, WTF?
Anyway, don't write your Disney stores off just yet, check again! |
