I still want to win (who wouldn't), but the other entries are rather impressive. The creativity to them is really good. I'm trying to not be overly harsh on myself, but I can't help but feel that mine is inadequate in-comparison. Like I said, I'm my own worst critic, but I'm sure there are others on here who could relate to that.

I ran out of time making my entry, half procrastinated and half uninspired, plus the previous entries were better then what I was gonna make, so kudos to all that entered. and Good luck to all.

Anyways, good luck to my fellow competitors. It'll be interesting to see which of the ten of us wins. All of our entries are rather good.

Well, that's a bummer.. A guy who made a custom of plenty turtle figs wins more turtle figs.

There's no need for sour grapes my friend. The stand up thing to do would be to congratulate the winner and then try to win our next contest. There's always a next contest.

On the topic of "sour grapes", that is one of two food-related analogies I've never fully understood. The other being stopping a bad habit "cold turkey". Well, I get what they mean, I just don't agree with them I guess. I like my grapes a bit on the sour side, and turkey is great cold, kinda like pizza that's been sitting in the box over night...Anyways, I'm getting way off topic here, so I'll be going...

I had a feeling ToSte had this in the bag. I mean his entry was the most ambitious, being a full on custom figure. He had a good idea for the theme too and come up with something pretty cool.

Paxtin or mmatere gets my vote. Not very original copying the actual cover art for the contest, not to mention the arm and legs that were sacrificed... Goro/spider mixed turtle = renaissance, huh.

He also did much more then just coppy the base image on the front page, the image inquestion also being based off of a well known piece of art from the renaissance. So it was fair game. Last edited by Paxtin; 12-03-2012 at 02:46 PM.. |

Lol everyone expected him to win, I knew he was gonna win. But it's all good I did this contest for the fun of it. I wish the forum could have voted on who they wanted to win.(I never have entered a art contest where the entries don't get ppls votes to win) But hey it is what it is. Everyone had awesome art work, and congrats the the winner of the Badass custom turtle figure

It may have not been original, because i do agree copying the cover art wasnt that original at all, BUT! it was still a really good custom.
