I was at Walmart last night and came across almost 8 cases of the Wolverine "Battle Claws" (ie, the roleplay glove/claw thing) from the 2009 Wolverine line.
I did not check the price, but considering the items are no longer produced, I'm wondering if Walmart picked up some overstock from Hasbro for the holiday season (like the Universe 2.0 carded Transformers basics stores are getting for $4). So, hooray? |

Must be overstock from last year. Gotta admit though, those are some long ass claws. I thought Hasbro was going to go the conservative-oh god-kids-might-hurt-dem-selbs route and make short stumpy claws that looked like bear mittens.

Heh, if they go on clearance again, I might pick up a pair this time. Would be fun to have those in the office at work as something silly to play with while watching progress bars get filled up.

Yes what 30 year old wants to get caught playing with these things in public. If they came out 15 years ago maybe.

personally these are great for kids or Halloween accessories, and or props to display on your bookshelf, but not great for your average fan/adult. I think 6 streaknives look better haha. I've seen people take a wooden dowel, hollow out pegs and cement real steal blades in, which look awesome. This not so much.

Yeah you can find it on youtube. Along with a real Iron Man hand laser. They're pretty sweet.

Not too long ago they were pretty easy to find in Wal-Mart clearance aisles in St. Louis, but one day they just disappeared altogether. I asked about it and a manager told me that they pack up stuff like that and ship it to other stores, so you're probably looking at St. Louis' unwanted Wolverine claws.
