I'm hoping Hank is using some kind of image inducer to hide his furriness. It's tech straight from the comics, sounds like something he might have invented, doesn't alter his existing/traditional power set, and saves $$$ on the SFX budget.

I don't place all the blame on Ratner, as it takes more than one guy to make a movie (good or bad). Just like I don't give Whedon all the praise for Avengers.
My biggest problem with X3 was they tried to cram too much into the film. They were pulling from three separate comic plots that weren't even related to each other (and separated by a decade of real-time in one case). A lot of that probably came from the re-writes, especially if the other writers truly "didn't know what they were doing". Add on top of that the continuity errors and it was a really rough viewing experience for me. You know with Disney doing Agents of SHIELD, I'm surprise Fox doesn't try to do a tv show on the mutants since there's so much promise there. Last edited by Exodus; 04-23-2014 at 10:14 AM.. |

You are allowed one f-bomb and you can keep a PG-13.

Your talking about the scene when Cyclops, Jean, Storm and Wolverine walk into the Statue of Liberty and the Metal Detector goes off when Wolverine passes through and he Claws it. Scott looks at him annoyed and Wolverine pulls in the claws except the middle and Scott makes the Rolling his eyes face (if he had visible ones) that would be X-Men (1998)

I was referring to films. The ratings board will allow you one, sometimes two, before you get an automatic R rating. Most PG-13 movies don't bother but you can tell that some movies wish they could have more sex/violence/language but they are desperate for that PG-13 rating. Every now and then a film will drop it's single f-bomb in the perfect place.

Ok I just read the X-Men: DoFP article in EW. I appears the events will be based loosely off DoFP comic (with the exception that Kitty Pride not being the Main character, Woliverine will be the main). Much of the casts of the Original trilology is back (except Cyclops and Jean) but we get Bishop, Blink, Quicksilver, Sunspot, and Warpath. As well as X:FC cast members

Extremely loosely based. I think Wolverine is supposed to have his mind sent back into his body in the 70's (or whenever it takes place). It will rewrite a good portion of the movie continuity and I'm just hoping for a reboot. The website for the film has a lot of cool stuff, including a timeline that shows when some key things happened like the first movies and when characters died after things went to hell.

I think movie ratings are done a certian way.... Most Disney Animated movies have some violence and manage a G (some of those scenes show someone/thing dying or are disturbing) so theres more to it then language..

There's actually a great documentary on movie ratings and how they work. I think it's called 'This Film is Not Rated' or something like that. It's on Netflix. It shows how arbitrary it can be and it's really whatever they feel like. Often they won't tell you specifically why they gave an Are or what you need to change to get PG-13. You have to just make edits and keep submitting it.

I wonder how far X-Men will go after Apokolypse. I know there are Rumors of Mystique and Storm doing Solo movies and X-force having a movie

It's spelled "Apocalypse", just like the Biblical term. You were probably thinking of Darkseid's home planet in the DCU, which is spelled "Apokolips".

I was posting on my cell phone and it's not a smart phone so no spell check...
and now the Mid credit scene in Amazing Spiderman 2 is going to throw the futures of both of these Franchises into a Tornado, I mean why didn't Fox keep them as two different series. Personally I would have jammed either an intro Mary Jane Watson, Otto Octavious and Adrian Toomes, something that Indicates that Electro is still alive, or Felicia Hardy pulling off a Black wig revealing White Hair. Instead of a scene that will likely be in X-Men: DoFP. I really don't see Halle Berry doing Storm as she did Catwoman. Catwoman was just a bad movie. As for a Mystique Solo Jennifer Lawrence has the Ability to Headline a movie she did in the Hunger Games.

That, and I'm really getting tired of Mystique's "S.I. Swimsuit Issue"/fan-wank design. She can (and does) wear regular clothing, even when her appearance is her natural red-headed Smurf look.

that scene does prove Sony and Fox do talk. I sure Fox paid a lot of money to get that scene in there

According to the story, Marc Webb is under contract with Fox to direct a film. Fox could have forced Webb to either bow out of directing ASM2 or delay work on it in order to fulfill his contractual obligation. Instead, Webb directs ASM2 and Sony shows a teaser for DOFP in exchange for Fox allowing him to do it. It's possible money changed hands as well, but the story made it sound more like quid pro quo, than a monetary deal.

Well, coming back to the promo, I feel it is good. I am looking forward at it. However, I hope don't want it to be another wolverine movie.

I'm surprised there hasn't been any chatter on the movie? Did you guys see it yet? I went Friday. I thought it was awesome. Definitely the best X-Men movie yet. It's tops X2 and First Class by a long shot. I loved the future scenes with Bishop, Iceman, Colossus and crew. Wolverine was perfect and Fassabender as Magneto is now the best character/actor in the series. McAvoy as Professor is terrific also. Can't wait for Apocalypse.

I enjoyed the Movie by far. It does explain a lead up to X-Men Origins Wolverine
SPOILERS These Movies are as much William Strykers story as much as the X-Men There are still some Continuity issues but they closed the Charles Walking stuff Nicely (Still no Explination of Emma Frost) Cameos: Kelsey Grammer (as Beast), Femke Jensen (as Jean Grey), Anna Paquin (as Rouge), James Mardsen (as Cyclops), and Lucas Till (as Havok) Nightcrawler, Banshee, Pyro and Gambit are left out completely so does this delete X-Men 2 & 3 or Just 3
