The title says it all, after the events of AVX, any thoughts on how the new X-Books will be. What ones will you continue, drop or pick up?
I'll pick up the new X-Force one's, def. dropping X-Men Legacy though more for the art though, and we'll see how the rest of the X-Titles do to keep me going. I've already dropped X-Factor too. X-Treme X-Men has me a bit intrigue see how that title goes. As for Uncanny Avengers skimmed through it and totally not worth it IMO. |

Wow, Brian Michael Bendis must've just gotten very bored or ran out of ideas while his Avengers books were struggling to find the magic of his first 50 issues on New Avengers because he is nailing the All New X-Men right now! This book is pure win so far.
Uncanny Avengers isn't an X-book even though it seemingly reads like one it still falls into the Avengers category according to marvel and the creative team. The book isn't terrible it just isn't anything ground breaking. Only two issues in so far, I will give it until the 3rd issue to show what kind of series this book will be. I have no intentions of getting either X-Force books until I read the reviews since neither interest me now that Remender is completing his run on UXF. I am looking forward to the return of Uncanny X-Men in February.

Yeah, All-New X-Men was a book I thought looked dumb as hell but it's been my favorite read lately.
I'm behind on Wolverine and the X-Men but I want to keep that up. X-Force is done for now as far as I'm concerned unless I hear some high praise for the new titles. Uncanny Avengers I'm trying to stick with but it hasn't impressed me. Can't wait to see what the heck is up with Cyclops new look in Uncanny X-Men.

That's exactly how I feel about these first two Uncanny Avengers issues too. They haven't impressed me at all, but they haven't left a bad taste in my mouth either. I have faith in Remender, that he knows where he's going with this and will be earning praise from us shortly or eventually at least. Some times it takes a bit to get new titles off the ground I guess. As for Cyke's new look in Uncanny X-Men...I wonder if it has anything to do with regaining control of his powers after what we learned in All New X-Men #3??

That is what I'm thinking. He seems out of control almost like Havoc used to be. I didn't think that was possible with his visor, but I haven't read all the old books. I remember back in Astonishing when the X-Men were on Breakworld and Cyclops finally realized that he didn't even need the visor anymore and that his problem was mental. I hated that they completely ignored that after Whedon's run ended because seeing Cyclops wearing neither a visor or glasses sometimes would have been cool. I think Scott went through a lot of character progression this decade up until the recent Schism/AvX stuff ruined most of it. Quote:

Agreed. I really didn't like them raping Professer Xaiver's brain though. Guess he's not coming back anytime soon, at least not in his own body.

What are the odds that they'll keep Professor X dead for good? He's been brought back a few times too as well like Jean was kind of back in the beginning.
I'm really curious to see how the two X-Force books will be like though, especially the one with Storm in it, not sneak peak images either of that one. |
