I recently purchased Xmen Origins Wolverine 'Victor Creed' figure and also a 'Wolverine and Colossus' 2 pack. Upon getting home I noticed that these were both sealed on the back with sellotape. Is this normal or should they by glue sealed.
They also both have a sticker on the back saying they are manufactured by Musical (Qin Yuan) Toys Ltd. Apart from that they look perfectly correct. Can anyone tell me if the sellotape and this label mean anything negative in terms of value and whether they are genuine? I have attached some images. Many thanks Storm |

I'm not sure about the manufacturer's labelling, that's probably more annoying than something that will bring down the value. I've had a lot, if not all, of my marvel universe and wolverine: origins packets sealed with tape (including my brand new SDCC2010 Captain America!). The top and side of the blister are sealed with glue as you'd imagine, but the bottom was partially taped. I guess it's a cheap fix process for ensuring the toys leave the factory fully sealed, rather than re-glueing. Again, I don't know if that'd impact the value, so long as the card is good and the blister is good then I personally wouldn't be too distraught about the type of seal. I'm off to TK Maxx!

Not sure about the label, but the tape is how all the figures are sealed. I don't think they have been re-sealed.

They look genuine enough to me. The ones with coats were Walmart exclusives here. The Fastball Attack two pack is pretty rare.
Oh and TK Maxx is called TJ Maxx here. |

Ok thanks for all your advice.
I got two of the Wolverine and Colossus 2-packs so I think I might stick one up on ebay. Storm |

The selotape is fairly normal for the wolverine figures. The stickers must mean they were intended for the far-east market and were left over and shipped to TK Maxx to get rid of.
A couple of weeks ago I got the weapon x & stasis chamber and logan & bike deluxe packs in TK Maxx for £4.99 each. I'll be keeping a lookout for the other ones you have found. |

I had good luck in TK Maxx this evening. I got the removable jacket versions of both wolverine and sabretooth plus the blob/sabretooth pack. All for £3.99 each.
Now if I can find Colossus at that price I will be very happy! |
