Yamato showed a whole bunch of stuff at Shizuoka, the Macross Plus/Dynamite 7 YF-19's, & VF-22S, GN-U Dou VF-1 toys, Fan Racer Plamo, some previously revealed 1/60 VF-1 variants, and revealed for the first time, the Low Visibility VF-1S! Oh GOD YEAH! Low Viz Skull 1 looks like the TV version, I don't care if it's not completely accurate, it looks close enough and geez it looks great! |

Actually I prefer the low vis versions of the VF-1s over the traditional white ones....
There is something more realistic about the look for me... |

I had a proxy buyer secure me the 1/60 Fan Racer kit at the show, now I just need some glue, paint and some time. So if anyone has the colour codes for the orange/red I need to use, I'd appreciate it.
I can't wait for the 1/60 scale low visibility VF-1S! Not too sure if you guys know of it, and I can't quickly find an online free pic of it (box art by Tenjin Hidetaka), but there was a 1/72 scale model kit by Hasegawa in 2003 of a low vis VF-1A (numbered 003)? It makes me wonder if the gang at Yamato will follow suit and release "non canon" generics in their new one to sixtieth scale perfect transformation series... And whilst I'm wishing now I know it may sound a bit pre-mature, but what I really really want is (a new version of) the GPBS-1 Armour for my VF-1J. Well we can add that to the wish list... |
