The 2009 Sentai, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, has had some of it’s campaign’s toys debut for the spring line. This season is based on the obvious samurai, but with every sentai it also combines a second element, this time around it’s the art of origami.
The mecha are based on origami animals, while the “gimmick” this year is the use of Hiden discs. These discs provide action to the mecha, such as making jaws move or drills rotate or used as other components, for example, the main Robo using it’s Hiden disc as a shield.
Samurai Sentai Shinkenger seems to be breaking another mold in the sentai line of toys!
