Yamato Toys has updated their site with a behind the scenes look at their upcoming 1/60 scale Fire Valkyrie! Yamato is not a stranger to the Excalibur family of variable fighters, as their 1/72 YF-19 was their very 1st Macross toy! They’ve come a long way since then. Here’s what was revealed lately:
- Box is the same size as that of the 1/60 VF-11B‘s box; substantially more compact than the 1/60 YF-19 releases
- Profile from the side in fighter mode is much more streamlined; gullet is not as obtrusive as the 1/60 YF-19
- Speaker pod is centered and parallel to the legs
- Toy is shown to be much more solid than the 1/60 YF-19(see attached images of it being held by the wing and nose in fighter and gerwalk modes respectively)
- Shorter but much more accurate proportions than the 1/60 YF-19
- Can stand on 1 foot
- Sticker sheet includes Super Nova and New UN Spacy(NUNS) stickers(for YF-19 and possibly VF-19 NOTHUNG & VF-19EF/EFs Caliburn? Could these be hints to a V2 1/60 YF-19 and Macross The Ride 1/60 Excaliburs?)
