Diamond Select Toys Reveals San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives

Diamond Select Toys has revealed their upcoming slate of San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusives. Check out the press release below.

It’s almost that time of year again… the time of year when Diamond Select Toys hops on a plane across the country to attend the biggest pop-culture convention in America! San Diego’s Comic-Con International 2012 will run from July 12-15, and DST will have a ton of fun events for you to attend, including a Minimates panel, a Battle Beasts signing, our Build-a-Minimate station and some cool, cool giveaways. But this year will also be a huge year for DST’s exclusive toys! In partnership with Diamond Comics Distributors and the Previews catalog, DST will have the following exclusive items available for sale at their booth this year, and there’s something for everyone!

AVX: Avengers Vs. X-Men Marvel Minimates Box Set

The hottest comics crossover of the summer is now the coolest con-exclusive Minimate 4-pack! Hope Summers may be humanity’s destroyer or mutantkind’s savior, but whichever it is, three of the most powerful mutants in the X-Men army have united to protect her from Captain America and the Avengers. Hope’s first-ever Minimate 2-inch minifigure is joined by three brand-new Minimates of Cyclops, Emma Frost, and Colossus in his new Juggernaut-inspired look. Amazing Spider-Man Movie Metallic Bust

Diamond Select Toys’ bust of Spider-Man from the new Amazing Spider-Man movie just got even more amazing! Amazing Spider-Man Sewer Battle Marvel Minimates 2-Pack

In this summer’s blockbuster movie, the Amazing Spider-Man and the ferocious Lizard did battle under the streets of New York City, and Diamond Select Toys is adding to their popular movie assortment with two new Minimates! Battle Beasts Minimates Vorin and Zik 2-Pack

The first series of Battle Beasts Minimates won’t be out until this fall, but Diamond Select Toys is offering fans a preview set that’s only at SDCC! The fully painted two-pack of 2-inch Beasts includes the heroic ram Vorin, star of the IDW comic series, and an all-new villainous dragonfly character, Zik! Star Wars R2-R9 Vinyl Bank

The first issue of IDW’s new Battle Beasts comic book mini-series is here, and SDCC will have its very own cover! Depicting heroic beasts Vorin, Merk and Gruntos about to do battle on the steps of the San Diego Convention Center, this souvenir edition will be available from Diamond Comic Distributors (Booth #2401) and Diamond Select Toys (#2607), as well as numerous retailers on the show floor.
