MattyCollector has posted a handy Q and A. In it, they talk about their 2013 Early Access Program. Check it out below.
Toy Fans,
Have you heard about Early Access? It’san awesome new benefit where all 2013 club subscribers can buy non-subscription products before they’re released to the public! We know some of you had questions, so we want to explain how it will work. Not only that, but we’ve just confirmed that 2013 SDCC products will be included! Read on for all the details…
Q. How does Early Access work?
A. Around December of 2012, subscribers to any 2013 clubs will receive an email that includes a link to a members-only portal. Then, starting in January 2013, several business days before each Early Access period opens (the exact day depends on the date of the sale), you’ll receive an email reminder that tells you when it opens and what products are available, plus a link to the members-only portal (we’ll also post reminders in our Forums and on Facebook and Twitter). When Early Access opens, just log in to the portal and begin the purchase process!
Q. What can I buy?
A. Early Access was created especially so 2013 subscribers can more easily buy products NOT available through subscriptions. So, for example, when a product that isn’t part of a subscription goes on sale (like 2012’s Granymyr™ or the PKE Meter), subscribers will get the first chance to buy it through Early Access. If it sells out during the Early Access period, that’s it – there won’t be any product for non-subscription holders to buy in the coming sale.
Q. If I have one brand’s subscription can I buy from the other brands?
A. Early Access lets subscribers have the first chance at purchasing products that aren’t available in any of the subscriptions. Early Access will NOT allow you to buy subscription products from other brands early. For example, if you have a Watchmen subscription, you can’t buy Club Eternia subscription products early, like Netossa™ or Elongated Man – but you CAN buy Masters of the Universe® Classics products that aren’t part of Club Eternia®, like Granymyr™.
Q. Will all non-subscription products be available for Early Access? What if they sell out?
A. Most non-subscription products will be available for purchase through Early Access, but please keep in mind that our production quotas for 2013 will be much smaller than in years’ past. If products sell out during Early Access, that’s it — there won’t be more available for the regular monthly sale.
Q. What about Watchmen figures? Can I get them through Early Access?
A. Sorry, no. Watchmen figures definitely won’t be available through Early Access and because production quotas for 2013 will be low, there’s no guarantee they’ll be available at our regular monthly sales. If you know you want Watchmen figures, the best way to ensure you’ll get them is to purchase a Club Black Freighter subscription.
Q. What about SDCC products?
A. Here’s the great news… a fan suggested we offer SDCC products like the ones sold during our SDCC After-Party Sale through Early Access and we think it’s a brilliant idea! So, as a subscriber-only benefit, we’ll offer products through Early Access any time we can in 2013, including uber-hot toys like Scarah Screams™ from Monster High™ and even prop replicas like the 2012 Back to the Future Hoverboard.
Q. Are there purchase limits?
A. For the most part, purchase limits will be set to the normal limit of 10 (any changes will be noted on the product page).
Q. How long does Early Access last?
A. Once Early Access opens, it will stay open until the product sells out or shortly before the monthly sale begins, whichever comes first.
All in all, Early Access really is a fantastic benefit and you’ll definitely be glad you’re a subscriber when sale days come around! Subscriptions are available now through Monday, August 6 at 11:59 p.m. only and there won’t be any extensions. Click here to get yours now!
