For those that don’t know, Boss Fight Studio is a newly formed joint venture of former Hasbro employees which were responsible for some of the awesome figures we’ve had over the last several years. They’ve worked on G.I. Joe, Marvel, Star Wars, and Transformers while there. Currently they work as an independent unit and still contribute to Hasbro projects and other companies on demand. They are a great group of people, always pleasant to speak with and true fans proper.
They were in attendance at this past weekend’s New Jersey Collectors Con with a sample of their work, both produced and customs, to show what they can do. What we found exciting was the announcement of their own in-house action figure line. It looks to be 3 and 3/4ths size with tons of articulation. The Boss Fight crew were involved with the later modern era G.I. Joe figures, which many consider the pinnacle of 3 3/4ths action figure design. So, applying those skill sets to all original properties could lead to some kick ass results. They showed off an early prototype of a potential first figure – Spartan. Check out some pics of Boss Fight Spartan and examples of their work after the break!
