Play Arts Kai Robocop 1.0 Photo Shoot

So, Robocop 2014. The movie didn’t really hit the right note with most people. It was a solid outing but didn’t really capture the epic nature of the original. That’s up for debate, but not what we’re going into here. Square Enix and Play Arts Kai has done up several Robocop figures in their highly detailed, 8+ inch style. From the new movie, Robocop 1.0 (Silver) and 3.0 (Black), and then a classic 87 Robocop. Personally, I like the design of the new 1.0 Robocop, aside from the movie’s quality so I picked it up. Overall
This figure was a little late to the game. Robocop had a ton of toy heat leading up to the movie, but after it came out, it kinda flat lined. As I said earlier, I do dig the design so I am happy I picked it up. The cons aren’t really cons, just nitpicks. I would have preferred a transformable leg holster that hid the guns and functioned, but due to engineering or cost, it wasn’t done, and I can live with that. An alternate head with full face was doable though, they just chose not to. The figure stands well, can run thu the gamut of posing. It’s large, towering over the 6 inch Jada Toys version. I had no breakage issues, which is 2 Play Arts Kai figures in a row for for me, so that’s a plus. Bottom line, if you dig this design, this is the best figure version of it you can grab. The only thing potentially better will be the ThreeZero version, which is 1/6th scale and over 200 bucks.
