Marvel Minimates Series 56 (ASM 2) In Hand Gallery

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is working it’s way through theaters now, and Diamond Select Toys has dropped an ASM2 themed Minimates wave just in time! Minimates Series 56 features 4 2 packs, in both general and TRU exclusive variants. Today, we are shooting the general release which features Spider Man and Green Goblin, Spider Man (Battle Damaged) and Electro, Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, and the shortpacked one – Aleksei Sytsevich (Rhino) and Alistair Smythe (future Spider Slayer?). Overall
This was a nice change of pace for us here at Toyark. Many times, of our own choice of course, we choose the most epic, bad ass figures to shoot. Life like sculpts, super articulated, die cast, crazy paint. Sometimes you need a break and just mess around with something fun to balance it all out, and this wave does the trick. Mini figures in general can do that, and Minimates I think balances our adult epicness requirements with fun pretty well. Each set was done to mimic a scene from the movie, and captures that well. The regular Spidey is nice and clean, Electro really pops, and Rhino’s face and lack of pants made me giggle. Overall a great addition to a Minimates shelf, or to tuck into a larger Spider-Man display.
