Guardians of the Galaxy Infinite Legends Wave 1 In Hand Gallery

Marvel Legends continues the movie specific releases with this summer’s Guardians of the Galaxy! Earlier this year, there were Spider-Man 2 and Captain America waves to compliment the movies, and next up is GotG. The wave features the core characters – Star Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot as the Build A Figure. Filling out the wave are comic versions of Iron Man and Nova. Each case comes with an extra Iron Man and Star Lord, so those should be filling the pegs soon enough. Overall
Overall this is a great outing for Marvel Legends. I know very little about GotG personally, but I’m always down for a Comic Book movie. From what I’ve seen in the trailers, the figures really capture the actor’s likenesses well. BAF Groot really stands out, the sculpt is great, feels solid, moves well. Accessories are minimal but purposeful, just where I like it. I’m indifferent to Iron Man and Nova. Iron Man felt cheap, not really an interesting armor choice IMO, tho I get it’s related to when he hooks up with the Guardians in the books. Nova was a pretty solid figure, nice poses and great paint. They filled in little Rocket Raccoon’s package with the big Groot piece and the giant gun/launcher for Star Lord which is cool. So overall, happy I ran thru these guys for the shoot, I’ll probably keep Groot and Rocket to rep the movie on the shelves if it’s good.
