This week marks the return of Dragonball Z to the US market with the theatrical release of Battle of the Gods. The story started way back in 1985 and hasn’t stopped, keeping one continuous canon that mostly works :). Over 440 episodes, 17+ movies, direct to video and tv specials, a couple of horrible live action movies, plus merchandise spanning almost 30 years keeps this train moving. S.H. Figuarts from Bandai Tamashii has revitalized Dragonball Z action figures, giving us visually accurate figures as seen in the shows with tons of poseability and accessories.
Today we’re looking at Android 18, the first of the Androids (all are planned now). Check out over 30 shots of Android 18 in action after the break, courtesy of site sponsor Entertainment Earth!

S.H. Figuarts Android 18
Pros:
Great likeness
Good posability
Extra Krillin parts are awesome
Cons:
If you remove jacket, shirt is not painted on fully, looks weird
Overall:
Great addition to the SHF DBZ roster, and the fact they are doing 17 and 16 later makes it even better. The figure is dead in sculpt, size and paint. Moves well, has an ample amount of extra heads and hands. There really is nothing negative to say, if you like DBZ, and want a full roster, this does the job. The Krillin parts include an extra head, hand, and kill switch remote, all of which allow you to re-enact scenes from the show. These are little details that are greatly appreciated by fans including myself, it’s rare when a company adds in extra parts to make previously released toys better. So props for that.
