S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan 3 Goku Gallery

Toyark’s S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z catch up galleries continue today with Super Saiyan 3 Goku! It uses the base Goku body with a new head, but boy is the head a big addition. The Super Saiyan 3 hair is long, yet still spikey so it weighs almost as much as the figure. While not my favorite version of Goku, it’s still a solid addition to any SHF DBZ shelf, so let’s take a look at over 45 shots of him in action after the break!

Pros
Hair is impressive, did not skimp out
Aura effect accessory is awesome, works with any Super Saiyan
Halo ring nice touch

Orange detailing on skin matches hair and gi, too similar

Overall
This is one of the figures I skipped initially. Was never a fan of the SS3 style, and I had Goku already, so at the time it was an easy pass. I’ve since gone back and decided to grab them all, and running thru this Goku was fun. He surprisingly can hold a pose with the hair being so top heavy, it just can’t be a straight up and down one. Tilting him forward for a Kamehameha or similar move will let you pose him without stand, and that’s impressive. The hair moves in 3 parts, so you can add a bit of twist there as well. The Aura effect piece is also nice, easily used with other figures. Again, as part of a wider display of these SHF figures, I think he’s a good addition, but on his own or in a smaller group I’d opt for others first.
