About KasualFRIDAY:
Kasual Friday LLC was founded in 2011 by former Hasbro toy guys, Brand Manager Scott George (Marvel Universe, Avengers, Nerf, Super Soaker) and Graphic Designer Danny Burau (Marvel Universe, Legends, Avengers). The company launched with comic book and movie branded apparel in Spring of 2012 and began shipping the Superstars figure line in December 2013. KasFri now designs and manufactures apparel and collectibles for 13 pop culture entertainment properties including Army of Darkness, Robocop, The Phantom and the Rocky Saga.
Overall Thoughts:
I’ve been watching this line grow since almost day one, when KasualFRIDAY owner Scott George and David Vonner debuted them at Wizard World Philly in 2012. Since then, they’ve released 3 waves of figures on classic comic and movie properties. The figures are non-moving 3.25 inch caricaturizations of mostly movie icons, meant to be a fun simple representation of them in your collection. They are well done, featuring good paint apps with attention to detail like Drago’s Russian Hammer and Sickle or Clubber Lang’s name printed on his shorts. Proportions are exaggerated and the faces “cartoony”, but that’s the style they went for and they did it well. Overall, they are fun pieces and I can see a shelf filling up quickly with them as the line continues. I’ll be adding in these Robocop’s to my Robocop area now; they are also great compliment pieces to a themed area.
Check out over 85 shots of these guys “in action” below. Head on over to KasualFriday.com for more info on the company and to grab some figures direct!
