You can open up a serious can of worms when talking about Robotech and what continuity you followed. For me, it was the 1985 Harmony Gold combination of all three Japanese Anime series that made up the USA space drama. Robotech was high on my list of daily cartoons that were running at the time. Hard to believe it was 30 years ago.
Celebrating Robotech’s 30th Anniversary, Toynami has released Series 1 of the fully transformable Veritech action figures. Standing at 6 inches tall they can be converted into Fighter mode, Battloid mode, or Guardian mode. To help celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Robotech, Toyark has posted the first photo shoot of the new line Rick Hunter’s VF-1J Veritech Fighter.

Solid stand that allows for excellent poseability
Figure stands well on it’s own

Stand does not hold the front heavy weight of the Battloid mode well
Plastic quality could have been better
Overall
This for me is a cool alternative to grabbing the much more expensive die cast versions of the Veritech Fighters. The stand provides a very high level of poseability, along with the awesome selection of weapons, and hands, you can get a lot out of the set. I have been out of collecting Robotech for a long time, but given the scale, you can find a home for these if you have limited collection space.
