The second of our three NECA Predator Series 13 photo shoots focuses on the fantastic Cracked Tusk Predator. Like all of the figure in this wave, the Cracked Tusk Predator is an homage to a classic Kenner Predator Figure. This figure joins the Scavage Predator and the Renegade Predator. Predator Series 13 – Cracked Tusk Predator 7″ Scale Figure

Overall
Like the Renegade Predator, the Cracked Tusk Predator comes on a cardback based on the classic Kenner toy line. There are no twist ties holding the figure in, and the tray holds the figure and weapons well for storing. Like most of the Predator figures, the Cracked Tusk stands at roughly 9″ tall, allowing him to tower over existing 7″ scale figures.The figure features over 25 points of articulation with strong movement points in the legs and arms. These include ball joints and swivels to make posing the figure a breeze. The larger feet on this particular figure is very helpful in balancing him in dynamic posing.
The Cracked Tusk comes with a Smart Disc and a spear staff. Each hand is modeled to hold one of the weapons, and can duel wield if you so desire. Right now, I’m still thinking the Renegade is my favorite of the group, but the Cracked Tusk is no slouch either. The paint apps are very clean, the joints were tight and didn’t require any heating to loosen up, which is two in a row with this line. I had the hairdryer at the ready just in case, but wound up not needing it at all. There are some nice detail touches including the hose connecting the blade arm to his armor, and the retractable shoulder cannon.
About the only con I could see was that there was no Cracked Tusk. Though I can just go with it hiding under the ornate mask design. I think this is a very good figure. It’s a cool homage to one of the most popular Kenner designs and a solid, solid piece.
