We wrap up our Predator Series 13 photo shoots today with the Scavage Predator. A repaint and retooling of the Series 10 Nightstorm Predator, Scavage is another great homage to a classic Kenner figure. Scavage is joined by the Renegade Predator and the Cracked Tusk Predator in Series 13. After the jump, I have a full gallery showcasing the figure and the whole series together.

Predator Series 13 – Scavage Predator 7″ Scale Figure

Overall
What a way to end this series of shoots. The Scavage Predator, being based on the Nightstorm, is already a strong sculpt. The new paint scheme rivals, if not exceeds the original release. As with the others, this comes packaged on a Kenner homage cardback. The figure sits firmly in the tray without any twist ties. Take care when removing as to not pop the blades off the wrist.
Out of the three in Series 13, this is the sole figure with a removable mask. The blades, while not retractable, can be removed from the gauntlet. The figure has all the articulation you’d expect from the Predator figures. The shoulder cannon can rotate and pivot. The mask easily snaps on and can be removed with little force. Some of the armor detail is sculpted in a softer material to allow for more movement, which is very welcome. The arms and legs have a very good range of motion. There are both ball joints and swivels.
The only downside, for me, to this figure are the feet. They are cast in a softer material than the other figures’ legs. With the design making them a little smaller, it can be adventurous to get home to stand in dynamic poses. I did wind up using the NECA stands for a few of the more extreme leg posts and those worked extremely well at keeping the figure sturdy.
The Scavage Predator is an excellent sculpt, with a beautiful and clean paint scheme. It’s a great, aggressive looking, hunter with solid articulation, a cool staff, and a removable mask. Not much more you can ask for. I still think the Renegade winds up being my favorite of the wave, but the entire Series 13 is made of of wonderful homages.
