The Toyark’s Wave 2 Batman Animated galleries continue today with Robin! This is the Dick Grayson Batman The Animated Series (BTAS) version, featuring a teen/late teen build that will eventually graduate into Nightwing in The New Batman Adventures (TNBA) later on. He comes with a wide array of extra hands, grappling launchers, a whip, display stand, and two capes. And yes, QC issues seen in wave one are addressed here. Overall
Great figure! For what it set out to do, it did it well. The figure nails the Batman Animated Robin look. He has articulation in all the necessary places. Tons of different hands, an interchangeable cape for action and chilling. Grappling launcher by itself and molded into a hand. The QC issues from wave one are addressed here, allowing for handling and posing repeatedly, no breakages during my time with it. Ankle joints are better, can hold a pose, though the design of these things in general make that a challenge even when QC issues are addressed. But that’s why we get the stands, which continue to be well done with character specific art on each. Paired up with Batman, Robin invokes an awesome sense of nostalgia, even if they are from 2 different eras of the show. When DCC drops BTAS Batman and TNBA Tim Drake Robin, all will be well (check the BBTS links, they are coming and up for order).
